105.3: How many years are left in Dak Prescott's prime?

He's immobile compared to other relevant quarterbacks in the league at this point in his career other than Matt Stafford (who was described as one of the top 5 throwers of a football by Tom Brady).

Zero is my answer.

Who hired these guys?
Haha great comment. You made my day.

In todays a-social media not only the worker-bees are talentfree, also those who hire them dont need to be very bright.

Overall its a non demanding job for people who else would have to sleep under the bridge.

But then the niveau of their output is what should be expected from panhandling bums.

Its amazing that you said that because he had an All-Pro and MVP candidate season just two seasons ago.

He was 4th amongst all quarterbacks this season behind an offensive line graded at 21st and a last ranked defense.

So your "down hill ever since 2016" comment isn't lining up with reality.
How many winning teams did he beat?

What he do directly after the regular season?

Oh, and BTW, Dak will be 33 in July. He may already be past his prime. Most QBs are done between 33 and 36.

No quarterback beat winning teams. TEAMS beat winning teams. Now when Dak or any other quarterback plays on defense, special teams as well as offense, then we can say THIS or THAT quarterback beat winning teams.

Now since you brought that up.... if we judge quarterbacks by "beating winning teams".....

Matthew Stafford has a career record of 17-77 or something like that vs winning teams. Dak's record vs winning teams is much better than that.

So what excuses do Stafford get? Before you lean on that excuse of him playing for Detroit, I was told that great quarterbacks elevate the players around them and he didn't elevate anybody on the Lions.

Before you try to erase his horrible record vs winning team's by excusing it because of a Superbowl win..... he led the league in interceptions the year the Rams won the Superbowl. So we can't lean on that.... hell Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl.

So again, what is Stafford's excuse for such a trash record vs winning teams?

Dak surprised me this year. I thought 2024 was the beginning of the end for him, but he looks no worse for the wear.

Physical tools aren't how Dak is winning nowadays. He hasn't been a rushing threat since 2020, and even on his best day, he's never had more than an NFL-average arm. He's a true pocket QB now. So if his health cooperates, he should age as well as a lot of the other pocket QBs we've seen. They aren't so common nowadays, but the past decade of NFL football was full of them.

You never want to use Brady as a comparison, he's an outlier for everything. But PFM, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Phil Rivers all pretty much played at a Pro Bowl caliber or MVP caliber level until they turned 40. Matt Ryan dropped off in his mid 30s. Ben Roethesburger dropped off in his mid 30s, but he took a beating.

Dak is now 33. If his health cooperates, I think he has two more Pro Bowl level years left minimum, and he could have as many as five. At the same time, he hasn't had great injury luck, and his athleticism is pretty marginal even right now. If he does get hurt again, I don't think he can lose another step or lose any zip on his passes and still remain a high-end starter.
I was really surprised with Dak this year.
Last year he just wasn't very good, and coming off a shortened season and a season ending injury didn't give me much confidence he would be better.
But he was so much better, and even by eyeball, he was starting to throw guys open, which he really hadn't done much in previous years.
Yes, Dak is now a *good* pocket passer, and at 33, should have a lot more years in him.

He has 1, maybe 2 years to win a first championship. Then he will have 2 flatters to deceive years, where he looks just as good, but he's actually too old. And then the wheels will fall off.

He is basically top 5 in every single advanced passing statistic this year. If you look at that the data, and not the absurd opinions of people on Cowboyszone, he has another 4-5 years of prime football if he wants to keep playing.

That's right.
