Sorry, I still think someone who puts a first round value on him is going to want to re sign him. Just makes sense to me.

Thats fine lamb is top 3 Pickens definitely is not. Yes hes been great, id you can get a first trade him but then you have to get a wr round 1 2 next year
 
You can’t trade Lamb. His cap hits won’t allow it. A smart GM trades Pickens for a 1st either this week or after tagging him in the off-season.

I don't think the front office is willing to do that but whatever happens happens right now we have no control of it but but I do agree you should get whatever you can for him Unless he wants to sign for T Higgins money and he really wants to be here and he begs not to be traded maybe..

I think the objective is to do it while his value is high, will it be as high at the end of the season as it is now. Nobody knows, just a thought

Perhaps I’m showing my ignorance but how on earth do you build a team when the moment your players get good you ditch them for more failed Jethro picks?

Yes I know Jimmy did it to build his Super Bowl team but HE was the one doing the building at the time, so that’s not compatible to the current state of affairs. And when Jimmy found the pieces, he didn’t immediately trade them away.

When you find rare key pieces, you keep them. If they demand too much money THEN you ditch them. The purpose of the game is to develop a winning team, not play musical chairs with picks right?

Isn’t the intention given by those advocating for trading away awesomeness for picks to find awesomeness? How does that work when you find awesomeness and then trade it away for more picks?

I’m sure some football mastermind will pop in any moment and tell me how flawed my logic is.

Do you think it would be a good idea for this team to tie up +$60M/yr on 2 receivers? If not, and you can get a #1 for Pickens, why wouldn't you do it?

Maybe use that mythical non exclusive tag I hear so much about. That could be a win/win. You either get compensation for him or you get him well below market value.
