That was Romo's stats before the final drive. Last week he was lights out and his performance was certainly good enough for the Cowboys to win. Against the Chargers his performance contributed to the loss. Twelve completions out of 21 attempts for 163 yards and 1 TD is not going to cut it.

Look deeper than the stats..

The problem is the offense can't score when they get into the redzone.

yet you conviently left out his final drive where he got them into the endzone again and gave them a shot to kick the onside to try and tie or win the game.

Those were some Jamarcuss Russell stats.

Look for Witten more in the red zone.

And if you take away that TD and add an interception and a fumble he was terrible yesterday.

Gee, trying watching the game again.

The pass protection was not very good and the corners pressed our wr, even in the slot and just took them away.

roy williams and patrick crayton looked like they were wearing chargers uniforms yesterday, they couldnt get open at all.

Throw in austin and crayton not catching passes and this is what you get.

If I add 5 TDs and 10,000 yards he had the best game ever.

WTH is this?

Just like the Giants game adding stats in the last minute when the game is already over.

When those points give you a shot to win at the end the game is not over. Of course if you're a loser and quit just because you don't believe you can get 10 points in the final few minutes of a game then I guess games like that are over.

But anytime you score a TD and it gives you a shot to get an onside kick to try to tie or win a game then it's not over.

By your standards over the last few years then Dallas shouldn't count the Buffalo win, the Detriot win and the come from behinds against the Cards and the Ravens that were also very nearly one those drives shouldn't have counted either because you'd already given up and decided the game was over.

Do you ever say anything even close to intelligent? If you do, it's a rare occasion and I haven't seen it yet.

He was getting no pass protection yesterday and we were running the ball like crazy. If we had thrown it on the one yard line rather than letting Barber fail three times, he'd have had 3 TDs yesterday. Hard to complain about that. But leave it to someone like you.

If the defense, special teams and the running game show up, .. it absolutely will "cut it".

Just ask Ben Rothleisberger, he lives on games like this. He built a reputation on games like this, .. he won a Super Bowl on a game worse than this.

Romo is not the problem, .. keep looking.

I didn't feel Romo was terrible yesterday. He played good enough to win. Regardless of what he did before the last drive the Cowboys left 10 points on that board so if we had 3 chances to score and didn't than how in the hell is that all on Romo?

Those are hardly Jamarcus Russell stats. I've been critical of Romo and still have some doubts about him, but that's almost 8 yards/attempt, and no turnovers.

That usually wins in the NFL.

Special teams? Defense? We only allowed 20 points lol. To a team capable of putting up 30 a game. Buehler did great on kickoffs. I only remember worrying about Sproles about twice yesterday. Folk missed a field goal and the offense left 7 points on that board. Its that simple. Its no group effort. The guys played hard and the Chargers played better.

The Chargers were willing to give up the yardage and a score in exchange for running out the clock. It's called prevent defense, that's why I left out the final drive.

I probably shouldn't pin it all on him because it seems that we've had trouble beating man to man defenses. Denver, Washington, San Diego, and Green Bay all played man defense and all slowed the offense down. It seems to me we need someone to threaten the defenses deep, someone like a Desean Jackson.

Na I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying wracking up stats in garbage time is meaningless. Last week against the Giants they didn't even play defense because they did care if we scored. This week against the Chargers after they went up ten i turned the game off it was over. Those teams that made those comebacks are a lot different from this team. Those wins are prob whats wrong with this team. We grew accustomed to those miracle come backs and know we expect them to happen all the time. What is it "romo magic" it's been gone since we lost to the giants in the playoffs.

He should of did this he could of did that. No matter what it didn't happen and we lost. So take all your should ofs could ofs woulds ofs and step. Because at the end of the day Romo had a terrible game.

Which is 7.76 YPA. So... yeah, that's about a top 10 QB type performance, and is better than Favre's season average, and below Romo's season average.

The problem is that the other QB had a better YPA.

Rivers: 8.5 YPA.
