You look at that record since 98 and you can't refute that the problem with the Cowboys isn't the owner. He's responsible for running the organization. He's responsible for all the hiring of coaches, trainers, etc. Since he also serves as the GM, he's responsible for bringing in the players and paying them what he thinks they're worth. Some imbeciles here are putting all the blame on one QB. That's the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard of. Do these people realize they're making fools of themselves with this take? Obviously not and it brings up the question of their football knowledge. They have none if they believe this. No, this is all on Jerry. He seems perfectly happy to be 8-8. He knows, there will be fools willing to pay to see this mediocracy. He knows, they'll be fools paying big $$'s for Bryant's jersey. His a smart business man and knows that the majority of his profits come based on the ignorance of his fans. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

No he doesn't. Jerry's only concern, as evidence by his record, is the bottom line. I don't contribute to that. Sure I watch the games and post here, but i don't directly contribute $$ to his alcholol stained hands.

Saying that Jerry is "perfectly happy to be 8-8" is ludicrous and absurd. We're fans on a message board who lead lives that involve the Dallas Cowboys as a hobby in some capacity. Do you realize that the Cowboys are Jerry's life? This guy sleeps, eats, and breathes Dallas Cowboys. It consumes him, every day of his life. To suggest that he's perfectly happy being a .500 club is silly.

I hate that stat. Being .500 over that long of a period is actually decent. People like to bring up that number because we've been 8-8 the last three seasons, but to be .500 over that long of a period is pretty darn good in terms of regular season.

Well, with our history being .500 since 1998 is not acceptable. However you really can't fairly do that. If you're going to judge Jerry's record then do so from the start to present.

Bill Parcells makes him look so much better than what he really is.

If you want to see the Jerry Jones Cowboys check the Campo years. That's Jerry's work without an all timer building him a core of players.

You can include fat Stephen in that too. Our personnel and cap guru.

I whole heartedly disagree.

I ain't making this stuff up. The record speaks for itself. If he really wasn't happy with .500, he'd do something about it.

Jerry finished his 25th season and is 214-186 with 3 SBs. And yes we have a SB drought going on. And yes we haven't won but one playoff game since 2009 and in fact that's the last time we were in the playoffs. We've lost 4 WC games and 3 Divisional playoff games since we won our last SB in 1995.

So no playoffs for Garrett at all. And only one playoff victory since 1996. But Jerry's playoff record in 25 years is 14-9. I'm sure there are teams that are better over that time and many who are worse. Philly has no SBs. Neither do several other teams.

And I'm not interested in hearing about Jimmy. Yes they were a great team but so were the players. Jimmy left here and had complete control of Miami and didn't make a lot of noise so I give them both credit for the early 90s but they had great players and the best overall team I've ever seen.

If you want to say so what; what have you done for me lately then I'm on board.

If he fires Garrett and you end up being in worst pastures then DON'T complain! I'm on the fence about Garrett and I won't shed a tear if he's gone nor will I celebrate. I'd probably give him another year and reevaluate after that.

If he fires Kiffin then I'll complain.

Good lord, they've been trying to do something about it ever since they fell off. Just because the things they've tried haven't worked, it doesn't mean Jerry's perfectly happy being 8-8. It's not like we stand pat every year. Over the past few seasons the roster and coaching staff has been turned over.

Do you think the Browns' ownership is perfectly happy sucking butt and gettIng stomped on every season? By your rationale they must be, otherwise they would've done something about it by now!

You obviously just don't understand. Jerry's involved in every aspect of the organization. His meddling has poisoned the organization. He knows damn well he's sucking at being the GM. Yet he refuses to step down and stop meddling. If you're happy with 8-8, then go forth and be a minion. I'm not.

We were extremely bad from 1999-03 or so. Close to around 20 games under .500. So I guess that means we are close to around 20 games over .500 since?

The Bill Parcells love while in Dallas needs to end. Very little success while he was here. So sick of it.
