Clearly the best QB play that we've had since Aikman. Still, though, he holds the ball way too dang long. That's gonna catch up with us sooner or later. Good game, though.

Now thats a GREAT change of pace. Outstanding!!
No doubt he had a great game. I know SD has all their starters back what was their pass defense ranked last year?

***Very impressive, he does still hold the ball to long though.

I dont think he does. He hangs in there like a Qb should!

It was an excellent performance especially since they bracketed Witten the entire game.

Whats sad is there is an element

That can't give Bledsoe credit.......

He rocked today!

1-0 and we are off....

QB Ratings are for losers....We won the game, the only STAT that actually matters. The other stats are for fantasy football players...WE WON>

I agree many of the guys who have complained about Bledsoe from day 1 still do not want to give the man credit for a great outing. Yes he took some sacks but he did not throw stupid passes under pressure that could lead to ints.

Drew does deserve a lot of credit today, he made SD pay for stacking against JJ.
Also would like to comment that despite preseason threads, it sure as heck looked like Keyshawn and Drew are on the same page. :laugh2:

Who was the last QB who had a better single game QB rating?

Garrett on Thanksgiving against the Packers?

I was very pleased with Bledsoe today, but I thought I would be. I just like the guy.

Several have made the obvious comments about him holding the ball such a long time. It's true, but I also admire it, and there are players on both sides of the ball that admire that toughness too. That guy is trying to make a play.

Out of curiosity though, of Bledsoe's four(?) sacks today, which ones came on third down? I've always sort of felt that if a QB is sitting there on third down with no open receiver, and he keeps on holding it waiting for a play to develop, and then holds it some more so that he ultimately takes a sack, you haven't really lost anything since a punt was coming anyway. It's kind of like the INT that is thrown on third down that is the equivalent of a punt. Those don't bother me much...
