I was very pleased with Bledsoe today, but I thought I would be. I just like the guy.
Several have made the obvious comments about him holding the ball such a long time. It's true, but I also admire it, and there are players on both sides of the ball that admire that toughness too. That guy is trying to make a play.
Out of curiosity though, of Bledsoe's four(?) sacks today, which ones came on third down? I've always sort of felt that if a QB is sitting there on third down with no open receiver, and he keeps on holding it waiting for a play to develop, and then holds it some more so that he ultimately takes a sack, you haven't really lost anything since a punt was coming anyway. It's kind of like the INT that is thrown on third down that is the equivalent of a punt. Those don't bother me much...
