The year we went 13-3, didn't we send like 10 guys, only to get quickly ushered out in the first post-season game? Winning helps, but I think for the Cowboys especially since they are already so popular.

It was 13 guys. The Giants actually used it as incentive to beat Dallas in the Divisional round of the playoffs. They were saying to the media that they had like 2 pro bowlers and so didn't belong on the same field as the Cowboys who had 13 pro bowlers. Of course their defensive line alone could have probably sent 3 or 4 guys to the pro bowl.

It fired them up and gave them fodder to get up for the game.

I'm not really appreciating fans voting in players for their favorite team.

I forgot all about that. I actually kind of like this format for the players. Gives them the chance for more camaraderie.

Btw, I do not blindly vote for every Cowboy.
We saw how dumb that looked in 2007.
You still have goobers saying , well, we have 13 pro bowlers so of course we should have won it all. Silly.

I only vote for the Cowboys that deserve and maybe 1-2 that deserve it from other teams.
Never fill in the whole ballet--especially at positions where you think a Cowboy deserves a slot.
If you do, you're giving votes to the competition.

I would rather not have any Cowboys play in the pro bowl. It increases the chance of an injury in a useless game and gives resume enhancers for players to negotiate contracts with.
