No pair of jeans is worth $19,000. I wear Wranglers and 911 jeans. Both are a lighter denim rather than the thick cardboard feeling denim. I am not crazy about all these new stretch jeans either. That's not denim. But if I spend $50 on jeans it must be my birthday or something.

She probably didn't buy them, most likely the designer got her to wear them to get them noticed.

Oh man how I hate the stretch pants they are labelling as jeans! Vile!

I wouldn't pay $19k for a pair of jeans, but there are a lot of people that wouldn't pay $200k for a guitar, $900k for a car or $9 million for a stamp. We all place values on things that other people wouldn't. If you have the means and something brings some enjoyment then go for it, you can't take it with you.

For a car or something like that; or a rare coin or stamp. I can see that
I guess a designer dress maybe
but for a PAIR OF JEANS?

that is just plain stupid

This will be his 15th season. We’ll see how much he has left.

I remember in 1988 buying a pair of z cavaricci jeans. They were just a bit over $100 and that was with a military discount.

That was crazy at the time but I was young and they were some bad *** jeans.

But $19k....Wow

I agree she probably didn’t pay for it. Looks like it was a movie promo setting. The designer doesn’t need the notoriety so I’d say the production company fronted it.

Anyone who saw this comment must have wondered what the heck I was talking about. I had two tabs going with different threads and posted in the wrong one.

The jeans were used to throw away as kids that had tears in them are fashionable today and will run you over $200. The jeans I wore as a kid were real blue and real stiff. That denim was tough! It took months to break them in.
