Looking back at this draft, it's hard to believe that 11 , yes 11 receivers that were drafted before T.O. was picked in the third round that year. Five were picked in the first round. I think this was the deepest draft and best class of receivers, ever.
Below is the list of all the receivers that were drafted before T.O.
1. *Keshawn Johnson (#1 pick in draft)
2. *Terry Glenn (1st rd.,pick 7)
3. Eddie Kennison (1st rd., pick 18)
4. *Marvin Harrison (1st rd., pick 19)
5. *Eric Moulds (1st rd., pick 24)
6. Alex Van Dyke (2nd rd., pick 31)
7. *Amani Toomer (2nd rd., pick 34)
8. Bryan Still (2nd., pick 41)
9. *Mushin Muhammed (2nd., pick 43)
10. Bobby Engram (2nd Rd., pick 52)
11. Derrick Mayes (2nd rd., pick 56)
*- been to at least 1 Pro-Bowl
I would say this is definately the most productive receiver class. The next best class after this one was the one in 1988, headed by Michael Irvin and Sterling Sharpe.
