1st WAY too early off-season

You really underestimate Faulk. Had 7 sacks as a sophomore, won’t turn 21 until September, played in the SEC, and played in a funky 3-3-5 alignment. I don’t even want to point out his measurable that will probably make him a top 10 pick. NFL coaches dream of a player in my opinion.
I think he’s a similar, yet better, prospect than Mykel Williams last year. Faulk is a more fluid, natural athlete with more pass rush upside

Agree with you 100%. I think Williams would have been the pick at 12 if San Francisco didn’t snag him at 11.

Have you seen video of his sacks from 24? They aren’t him beating anyone off the edge or using his length to get the QB, most are clean up sacks or blown assignments. I think Faulk will be a quality pro and would be the perfect complement to a player like Parsons. He is great against the run and has a nonstop motor but doesn’t demonstrate any burst or bend. What’s great about this board is I love to hear multiple opinions, especially around the draft. In my view I would rather have Bailey, Bain or Howell instead of Faulk.

LB is one of, if not the weakest unit. And there are 2 that 100% need to be let go, but Logan Wilson isn't one of them. You can't re-do more than half the unit in one off season with so many other holes. He's at least a solid, serviceable vet that I would keep around for depth at least. And he's 100% staying over Murry and Sanborn, who both need to told to get lost, we aren't even thinking about re-signing either you.

Murray and Sanborn weren’t mentioned because they both have expiring contracts and obviously won’t be resigned.

And Wilson stinks, unless he resigns for like $1.5/2M he has no use. LB’s that can’t run don’t have a place in the NFL anymore

I personally don't think Wilson got a fair shot from Flus. IMO, he didn't want him and so didn't let him play. Was this a power struggle with him and the Jones's? IDK, but I think Wilson is a decent vet back up to keep around during this re-tooling. Unless you think you can replace 70% on the LB unit in 1 season? If not, than IMO he's a guy you can give another shot to.
His deal will of course be small and they will be bringing in other FA's and draft picks to compete with him so if he doesn't win a job so be it. But why cut him now and then find out you still need a back up?

What if Bain were to somehow fall to 11 - do we move up or stay put??

We already don’t have a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Trading up isn’t really an option unless you want to keep mortgaging future drafts
