Jaylon Smith, even with that knee injury, over Jack is a bit of a surprise.

He loves him some Irish, since he gets to call all there games. He has 4 of them in his top 5 in position groups and Smith ahead of Jack.

I think without the injury it would be 50-50 of those that would have Smith over Jack...maybe more.

What do you think of Mayock compared to Kiper?

I think Mayock is a wannabe, pretend Kiper. A concoction the NFLN came up with when they wanted to start covering the draft. A Philly puke who only started studying the NFL Draft when he took this position.

A fraudulent, fake, flitboy waste of time.

Other than that, I have a lot of respect for him.

I have a far better prediction rate than either of them.

This is not his predicitions of who will go first out of each group. It is just a list of who he believes is the best players in a positional groupings.

He doesn't call ND games anymore. He was kind of pushed out. Doug Flutie does ND games now. So if anything, he could have an axe to grind with ND.

And his position rankings aren't that crazy are they? Stanley is one of the 5 best OTs, right? Martin is listed by a lot of people as one of the 5 best centers. Fuller is listed by a lot of people as a Top 5 WR in this draft. And while listing him ahead of Jack is a bit strange because of hte knee injury, Smith is still mocked in the first round by most scouts.

Wasn't Mayock actually a scout before taking a position with NFLN, similar to the other ESPN talking head, McShay?

I like Smith better than Jack as well. The injury kinda throws a wrench in everything with that guy.

Agreed. We are all going to rue the day Jaylon Smith slips to the Patriots...

I'm on record saying it, but I will say it again, when all is said and done and we look back on this draft, Jaylon Smith will be the best defender.

I don't think so. I believe he got involved in commercial real estate after playing for the Giants and made a nice chunk of change. He wanted to get back into football so he transitioned into broadcasting.

Cyrus Jones as the fifth best CB is pretty amusing.

It actually upsets me as he is an indoor pet cat of mine. I think he's going to be a really nice slot corner and return man in the league.

5th best? Probably not as he can not play outside the numbers.
