Point, and Cassell now has enough time to be installed and the team worked to his strengths as well.

What's the plan?
This might be our season here.

We need to get to 3-3

I think it all starts with a QB that can throw more than 10-15 yards. Cassell in.

Cassell has to play.

I've seen enough gutless, run and punt football for a lifetime.

It's time to try and go win some games instead.

As much as many on here like to compare Garrett to Jimmy I can't ever imagine Jimmy Johnson playing as gutless as we have the last 3 weeks.

I hope that Cassell can at least make the Offense better than it was with Weeden and not be afraid to throw the ball beyond ten yards. And not checkdown all of the time and get more points on the score board.

What's it going to be then, eh?

If Garrett trots Weeden back out onto the field in two weeks, he will be a laughing stock.

And if he trots out Cassel, it will not matter much if the play design is not effective to maximize whatever personnel are out there. If we continue to run the same long developing route tree with checkdowns underneath, Cassel is not going to be any more likely to take shots down the field to receivers who are unable to beat man coverage. It will be more of the same unless something drastic is done. But unfortunately, most, if not all, of the offense was installed in camp and it cannot be changed right now. This staff is just not equipped to do that.

Remember, it took a Romo miracle to beat the Giants before.

I'd give Cassel one game to show something. Unfortunately, I don't trust this staff to evaluate many positions, especially the QB position. It would not surprise me one bit if Cassel comes in and is Brad Johnson Part II. I'm so close to pimping Kellen More at this point and at least using one of these games to see where we are at the position moving forward.

Remember, we shot ourselves multiple times in the foot in that meeting. We were dominating.

If Cassell is in we still need receivers to do their part. If we're using Street just as a body I'd rather throw Escobar and have him run some slant routes. We have to use him more and create a new target on offense to force the double teams away from Witten. I trust Esocbar's more than Streets and we need to use him outside of a meaningless portion of a game and preseason.

I think people are underestimating how hard it is to get and KEEP a competent backup qb on a roster.
I don't think the patriots would be to comfortable trotting out jimmy G. And most would say they are the best run outfit in the business.
That said I'm ready for a change. Seen enough of weeden.
Fact is we are only going as far as our d and o line can take us till tony gets back

The defense will be at full strength. Jerry will be all over Garrett and Linehan during this bye week to turn this offense around. I think we're gonna see a lot of personell changes. Collins for Leary. C Mike for Randle and McFadden and Cassell for Weeden.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see some shakeup at receiver too.

We can afford to fall to 2-4 if it happens, so this won't be our season. However, we still need to pick up at least two victories while Romo is out to have a chance. The Giants are a team we stand a chance to get one of those victories against if we can rattle Eli.

I feel sorry for Romo because he's likely going to have to lead this team to victories in all of its games down the stretch for us to have any shot at the playoffs ... if we manage to get those two victories.

I'd bet the Patriots would find a way to win a few games without Brady.

A lot of those plays they ran yesterday were just 1 read plays that were well designed to get the guy open quick.

We showed that we could get to Brady quick and they made perfect adjustments immediately. Just great coaching by them.

Also, I loved watching a team just get up to the line and run it. None of this running the clock down BS that we have to sit through.

We had to use Timeouts and got flagged because of the pace of their offense.

With Romo I think we could easily be 5-0 but without Romo you really see what is behind the curtain in Dallas and it's a joke.

With Romo, our offense is a box of crayons that he's using to paint masterpieces.

With anyone else, it's just a box of crayons. They're drawing cats and rainbows.

If for no other reason than to see what he has. Sure the Giants won last night, but I think Eli is already thinking about Hardy wrapped around him, and but for a few inches and turf bounce he would have been a goat instead of a hero.

The Cowboys really need to go 5-1 or sweep the division for any hope of reaching the playoffs.
