I personally don't care what my Safety's opinion on gays is. As long as he does his job on the field. Our draft/free agent board is really gonna narrow if we start factoring in that nonsense. I harken back to Jason's Dad's quote on Randy Moss "we are looking for football players not Boy Scouts." That said I don't think he's that good. I for one am not in favor of turning the NFL season into the Oprah network. The stuff with Sam last year was way over the top. The guy should be judged solely by his football talent and in the end he was. Those that disagree with his lifestyle deserve the same.

Fair enough, I don't recall ever hearing about that. Personally I think it's sad that there are people that still think like this, but it's an unfortunate part of the culture. I'm sure if you put a microphone in a locker room you'd hear a lot worse than that. It will be interesting to see if that hurts his free agent stock or not. Its a shame because he's talented too, but I know I wouldn't want a guy that speaks like that representing my company

Personally, I don't care what he said. Many many players of the past were not great humans.

The part that would concern me are the on-field issues that were referenced. If his team was really considering switching him to Safety, that's not a good signed that he is the CB that the Cowboys need.

Culliver isn't good enough to warrant that kind of behavior regardless.

I cannot name the last time we had someone make those kinds of comments on our team. I know many 9ers fans that don't like Culliver as a person AND player.

Don't like him one bit.

Im not going to pretend to have seen enough of Culliver to know how good he is or isn't. I was honestly just going off of pff and waltetfootball rankings.

And now that I'm actually doing some research I think this might actually be the most troubling thing.

Cross him off the list lol...How about the other 9er CB Perrish Cox or Patrick Robinson from the Saints instead.

Yes, with everything added together it sounds like Culliver is not a good option.

I remember Perrish Cox making some plays in a game, but looking him up 2014 was his 1st year to be a true starter in his 5 year career.

Patrick Robinson looked good coming out of college but he has only been a full time starter in 1 of 5 years (2012). I assume that injuries are part of his issue.

There is a guy in Cleveland named Buster Skrine that I noticed looked decent in a Cleveland game that I saw. He is small but fast.

Brandon Flowers played on a 1-year, 3M contract in 2014. I think PFF or somebody had him rated as one of the better CBs for the season.

A. Cromartie played on a 1-year, 3.5M contract in 2014.

Tramon Williams from the Packers is a FA. The Packers seem less likely to retain free agents than some other teams.

The best thing about Carr is that he has never missed a game. He has started every game since he has been in the league. If he takes a pay cut, he might end up as the best option.
