It's just preseason but interesting nonetheless.
Romo is #1 in passing yards.
Rector is #1 in receiving yards, Glenn is #5.
Thompson is #5 in rushing yards.

If Glenn is #5 with 202, then Hurd can't be much further behind with 200. Plus, he has 15 rec. That projects out to 60 catches for 800 yds. Not bad for a rookie season. Rector would project out to 80 catches for 980 yds. .....and these guys are struggling to make the team! Of course, both took their places with last night's performance's, if they hadn't already.
That leaves Copper, Austin, and Green fighting for two spots, if the team does keep 7 WRs. My guess is that, with the need for plenty of LBs, and the inception of the two TE system, they will keep only 6 WRs.
Here they are:
- Terrell Owens - He will be the #1 WR.
- Terry Glenn - Hard to call him a #2.
- Patrick Crayton - Praying that this ultra-talented WR stays healthy.
- Jamaica Rector - His numbers speak for themselves.
- Sam Hurd - Same as Rector.
- Terrance Copper - Made some excellent catches, plus a ST demon.
There's your Dallas Cowboys 2006 WR corps. Not bad. Maybe even as good as the Deadskins......haha.
I also predict the 'Boys will keep Miles Austin on the practice squad. Skyler Green will be release outright. Never liked him as the 4th pick, never will. What a freaking waste of a pick that could have brought us OG-OT Rob Sims, Ohio St. He is now doing VERY well with the Seahawks, and is destined to start the first of '07 at the very latest. Oh, well, at least we got McQ.
