that's how many games our D has yet to allow an offensive TD

they're allowing 1.5 points a game in that same span too:D

Not that it's a better number, but we've only given up 13 in the last three weeks...for a very respectable 4.3 points given up a game in a larger sample.

Yeah, the defense has been great for last three game, but I was really impressed with the way they played last night. Romo and offense put the defense in bad situations but they manage to stop the Bill's offense, only giving up a FG.

What I don't understand is why does espn and other websites count other teams' defensive and ST TDs against the defense? Our defense's PPG allowed includes 28 points from other teams defensive and ST TDs.

The defense did play poorly in the opener, so it is nice to see them limiting the opponents scoring. A fumble by Tyson Thompson and the Romo INT against the Giants did put the defense with a short field to guard, so some of those points in the opener came easily.

Our defense is still suspect due to our two starting mlb's. How many checkdowns are we gonna let Marshawn Lynch break out of Bradie and Akin??????????

We were playing against trent edwards (who???) and marc bulger with a bunch of broken ribs and a soft as butter offensive line.

ESPN should take out defensive TDs on returns of turnovers against the defensive points allowed. IE - if you have the Boys D, they allowed 14 points off of Romo INTs last night. Those should not count against their points total. Plus if you happen to have the double whammy, say you have the Dallas D/ST and are playing the Bills D/ST, they get 6 points credit and you get loss of points for a time when the offense is on the field.

But the Special teams should. It's D/ST on the roster spot. When a team returns a kickoff like Buffalo did, it's the Dallas ST unit who is giving it up.

So your Boys D/ST last night gave up 10 points.

There's a reason their called checkdowns... they're open a LOT. It's a safer throw because you're basically guaranteed a few yards.

I'm good with giving up the occasional checkdown and maybe missing a tackle or two giving up 15 yards, if it is in exchange for giving up the deep middle consistently.

It's called a missed tackle when they throw the checkdown and the guy runs 10 more yards after first contact.

Another thing that's funny is, if that first INT had been returned to the 5-yard line, then our D made a couple of TFL's and a sack to push them back 15 yards to the 20...if they kick the FG, those 3 points are on our defense.

Marshawn Lynch caught 2 passes for 32 yards and one was a 23 yard gain.

I'm ok with that.

They should get 4 points credit. lol.

Gets kind of subjective though... what is make-able FG range, etc?

Well either i saw different rb's catching those or i am just mistaken. But i recall seeing alot of short passes going longer than they should've and the main culprits were Bradie and Akin. There is a reason Edwards was 17-22 at one point.

Considering he was 23 of 31 then I believe you that he was 17 of 22. But he was 23 of 31 for 176 yards.... good for the 20th best QB performance yardage-wise on the week. I could not care less if you complete 66% of your passes on us, as long as it's for under 200 yards.

Better to see "short passes going longer than they should've," than a bunch of long passes.
