2 unheralded but key players the Cowboys will lean on the rest of the season...

OFFENSE:
Oliver Hoyte has been a beast... His blocking will be a major cog for the second half of games the rest of the way. A running game's best friend is good blocking. He will be HUGE in the red zone as well... like he was against the Colts blocking Freeney paving the way for Barber.

DEFENSE:
Aaron Glenn will be the man to take away the 3rd down threat when it comes time for the other team to make it in the passing game... I like our chances with him in our secondary because DeMarcus Ware is now swapping sides and crashing the other teams QB from all angles possible... FANTASTIC!!

Hope Gramatica works in well also.

I heart Aaron Glenn. Bill has taken a stupid amount of crap for signing his guys, but guys like the Glenn's and Ferguson's are just great pickups, great players, and solid locker room guys. Glenn jumps those short routes with a sixth sense, almost. If he was blessed with greater physical skills, the guy's stats would have been ridiculous. And as we've seen, these guys act as almost assistant coaches - maybe not in training or film, or tips (although I'm sure they share their secrets, if prompted) but as father figures for the younger players - showing them how to act, how to speak, etc.

I wonder if those that faulted the Tuna for bringing in "too many Parcells guys" realize that now we've got a whole team full of them.

add Terry Glenn to that list...he's just going to keep coming up with key catches and big touchdowns that nobody remembers.

I have no fear when Aaron Glenn is in the mix, infact I almost expect to see an Interception. If he was only about 20 pounds heavier and about 2 inches taller he would be that perfect free safety we need right now.

Hoyte came out of nowhere I mean didn't he get released at some point this year and now he is a productive starting FB who managed to bump the specialized FB we already had.

He must have a knack for knocking the snot out of people and BP figured that translated into a lead blocker.

Then again he is probably one of those guys BP loves but since we have such a magnificent LB crop this year, he had to give him a shot somewhere else...you need your best athletes on the field.

Romo's ability to spread the ball around really opens up the game for Crayton and he will be huge on 3rd down, as teams concentrate on TO, Glenn and Witten.

The loss of Ellis, opens the door for Hatcher and I think he will blow through that door with a couple of multi-sack games down the stretch.

We haven't had a kick returned to the house for a long time and Miles has more north/south burst and less happy feet than Thompson.

Jay Ratliff. He seems to be getting more pressure in the standard 3-4 formation. I don't know if it is because he is fresher, but it appears that he is outplaying Spears and Canty.

I like that list and agree completely.

One of the things I've been suprised with about Crayton since Romo's been throwing to him is how he's gotten open deep.

Everyone knew he had superb hands but making plays down the field is an added bonus with him that I didn't expect.
