Yes, that's true. Cowboys can still lose a game if Philly loses next week. So there's that. Not that I want to be in the situation to watch that SNF game with that much at stake. But crazy as it is, we can still win the division with a loss at WSH.

I say the NFC East deserves for both teams to lose then play to a tie in the final game. And then have the NFL declare that neither team gets a playoff spot.

The way this season is going the Cowboys could lose next weekend and still be playing for a division title in the last game......how messed up is that...That is what Jerry is counting on and everything will be status quo again next year.... :-(

And the league will be just as happy. To them mediocrity is the new normal. They would be happy with 9-7 division winners as long as the $$$$

I will give just one of the reasons.

A team with a 32nd ranked defense that wins one, loses one and only wins against bad teams CANNOT get "hot enough" or just "turn it on" in playoffs to accomplish anything.

We will miss the playoffs. The process is a myth.

I'm just not getting my hopes up. Jerry essentially said yesterday that he doesn't have to keep saying Garrett is staying as coach because he's already said that's what's happening.

I think people are doing a lot of wishing and hoping when Jerry has already laid down the reality. And no matter what, he has a built-in excuse for his belief in Garrett because of the injuries and failure of the defense.

Winning a division title at 9-7 because everybody else sucks so bad..............followed by a SF curb stomp at home................changes nothing.

At this point a playoff win should be the only thing saving this idiot.

If that's the case almost every team in almost every division sucks because there are going to be other division winners with 9-7 or 10-6 records and there are other divisions where 1 or 2 teams are over .500. That's the state of the NFL right now. At this point who cares if everyone else sucks that's not our problem. Our goal is to win the division and make the playoffs. The Giants won this division two years ago with a 9-7 record and won the Super Bowl and no I'm not saying we're going to do that but no one cares or remembers that the Giants won a weak division and neither will people care if Dallas wins the division this year. Just win it and stop worrying about what else is going on in the division.
