can't we take advantage of them? In either game did we have pass plays over 20 yards? Once?

I just don't get it.

Is this coaching. Is this choking by QB and WR's. We had drops yes. Our oline was solid early and the run should have set up the pass this year at least.

This is what baffles me. I mean last year, it was a street free agent, this year it's practice squad guys covering.

Yet our secondary which is as healthy as it's been all year. Probowlers Newman and Williams. We can't stop Giants when needed (end of 2nd half, wasn't that the same pass play that Shockey caught in game 2, looked identical).

Penalties are killing us year after year now though.

We had so many open recievers in the second half it was unreal... If the Oline holds up we destroy them... Can't blame Romo for holding on to the ball when he sees a reciever ten plus yards past the safety he was trying to make it happen.

If your offense can't take advantage of patchwork secondaries, then you need to invest in making your offense better.

In today's NFL, the offenses have an advantage over defenses. You really can't expect your defense to shut down a good offense. All you can do is try to disrupt the opposition's offense enough so that your offense can outscore them....

Consistent, high powered offense beats strong defense these days. The Cowboys need to find a couple of new parts to add to their offense, so that they can score more than 21 points in a playoff game.

Thank you. The o-line collapsed like I can't recall seeing in 40 years of watching the Cowboys. It was almost as though they were throwing the game (which I don't believe - but it was that bad).

Tony absolutely held on to the ball too long and took sacks he needn't have taken. He did not play a perfect game. HOWEVER, he had several throws that were DEAD ON but which were dropped plain and simple. Fasano in the end zone, Crayton over the middle, Crayton in the end zone (when he gave up and then couldn't catch up to the perfectly-thrown ball).

This game was lost by the whole team, of course, but a majority of the "blame" needs to go to the o-line, to a few drops, to poor ST plays (gave up FAR too many return yards) and to suspect play in the secondary (yes, I'm referring mostly to Roy but there were other big gaps as well).

I'm OK with letting Flo go. His false starts have killed too many of our drives fr years now but he had always been a top LT - not any longer. He tires too quickly and got beat BAD today too often. I think his age is showing. What did we have - 11 penalties? Even without the drops, blown tackles, and crappy (second-half) o-line play it'd be hard to overcome that many penalties.

You are correct LT. Not taking advantage of our opponents weaknesses is mind blowing.

This game was reminiscent of a BP called game. There is no doubt about it.

I wonder how Green Bay will do against the Giants Secondary. Will be interesting how they attack Giants.
