Agree that Rector will be our 5th WR.

I'd make 2 changes, so here's my 2 cents.

1. Cowboys will carry 4 TEs this year and it's probably Brett Pierce.

2. Don't believe Parham makes this team cause he's too slow; if he hangs on it will be on the PS. Fowler will join the other 7 Lbs on this team.

Cowboys might keep 5 safeties but doubt Parcells wants too. Also if we must sign a kick off specialist, then I certainly doubt we keep 5.

Finally, there are always a few surprises re who gets cut at the end of the preseason & probably at least 1 veteran will go -- but who? Depends on which unknown rookie makes such a splash that Parcells will be unwilling to let him go, etc. Obviously it also depends on the injury bug as well--unfortunately.

The changes I would make would be:

1) Brett Pierce as the #4 TE

2) Demetrius Summers over Thompson as the #3 running back

3) Jamaica Rector as the #5 receiver

4) Cory Proctor over Peterman at guard

5) Lenny Williams over Nathan Jones at CB

What's it going to be then, eh?

Just curious, can you explain these choices?

Because.

They are the same person.

Unless this person has ridiculous knowledge of the internet, and some pretty sweet technology, I've gotta admit, I've been convinced otherwise. But it's not impossible. I just can't believe some troll would go through that kinda trouble just to pull off a little forum scam.

But some people are that sick, I guess.

I think Peterman has had enough time to show what he can or can't do. His not playing last year after Rivera was injured gives me the impression that he hasn't shown much.

I think Proctor is more of the active, mobile player the current staff is looking for at guard. Just my thoughts.

As for Williams, he played well in Europe and Jones hasn't distinguished himself in his tenure in Dallas. I think Williams' return abilities ultimately give him the nod.

Perhaps. But sometimes the investment makes teams leery of cutting talent that hasn't panned out yet.

I follow you, but I don't know a thing about Proctor other than his name.

Nate Jones was an accomplished kick returner in college, it is just for whatever reason, he has never got the opportunity as a Cowboy. I think he is a good coverage player on special teams. I just am not impressed with Williams, despite his NFLE exploits. Besides, how many returners do we need? If Williams makes it, he will have to be better in coverage. I don't really think he is.

I may be the only one on the planet who cares, but I wouldn't bet on Ladouceur making the roster. His velocity was below average last year and had a few accuracy problems.

I know very little of Danny Young but the fact that he can also provide depth at a position may give him an advantage.

I do think that a LS will be brought in if Young isn't a legitimate challenger.

I know, we can ask that stupid computer program that told us getting rid of Jeff Robinson was a great idea.

Not really a bad idea when you consider he's out of football. He was simply broke down. Most don't realize the type of abuse that a snapper takes. Put your head between your legs and let a guy who outweighs you by 100 pounds take a shot at you.
