2006 Record Predictions - Time to Face the Music

I went back and found the record prediction poll from August where we ponied up our thoughts as to how the Boys would do in '06.

Looks like we've got a bunch of optimists on this board. And this was with Drew Bledsoe at QB! Here's a breakdown along with screenshots from the voting.

Rack, I still don't know what you were thinking! No wonder you're so ticked off!

(Editors Note: If the Boys take care of business tomorrow, I will be in the minority of 10-6 predictors. So, I guess I expected this record, its just the way that we've gotten here that depresses me.)

Over 71% of us thought we'd be 11-5 or better.
Almost 94% thought we'd be 10-6 or better.
Only a little more than 6% thought we'd be 9-7 or worse (pessimists )

I said 11-5; If I had known Romo would do so well I would have gone with 12-4 at least. BUt if I had known the D would collapse then I would have gone for 9-7. Considering how close several of our losses were (Wash 2, Philthy 1)
I would have gone higher. BUT I would never have thought that we would get smoked by NO.

It's humorous how many people must predict with their blue and silver colored glasses on.

I can't believe that many really thought we'd go 12-4 or better knowing at the time that Bledsoe was our starting QB.

9-7 is still a possibility. Glad I was wrong about the playoffs thing.

But after our hot streak with Romo I lost toch with reality during the season.

This one is much better considering I was correct in it.

LOL, I'm in the "other" catagory, which means I predicted 6-10. And that 6-10 was with Bledsoe at QB. you think I might have been right if they kept Bleedsooo in?

I just voted and voted 10-6 because Ms. Cleo told me today that we would beat the Lions. She's worth every penny.

it was because of bledsoe i went 9-7 tops and that had me concerned.

with the switch to romo, most of these pre-season predictions are blown out of the water now anyway.

I'll upgrade now from 9-7 to 10-6.

Had no idea last summer the entire conference would suck so bad.

I think I had 9-7 as most likely, but with some luck around 10-6.

If I had to guess for next year, the "easy" guess is probably about the same, 9-7 - 10-6 range.

I think if Tiki retires (and maybe even Stahan), the Giants will be worse off. And does P. Burress even remain with the team? I could easily see things getting worse before they get better for the Giants.

As for the Skins, I guess another mediocre campaign. Probably a bit better than this year, however. Let's say around 8-8.

As for Philly, they will probably be more competitive than the Skins and Giants. I'll say around the 10-6 area.
