We all know how much limited depth there is in today's NFL. One injury can sink a team. So here's an update on injuries that could affect the Cowboys 2006 record.

Included are teams that are either in the NFC East, NFC Playoff favorites or NFC/AFC teams on the schedule.

NFC East Teams:

Eagles (scheduled weeks 5, 16)

top receiver Reggie Brown who the Eagles are looking at to replace TO in his 2nd year had a hamstring scare, but it doesn't look like a tear

it's also an issue because other receivers are hurt, Todd Pinkston is recovering from injuries, and rookies Jason Avant and Jeremy Blunt are not practicing right now due to injuries

receiver is already a questionable position on the Eagles, especially now that they no longer have guys like Duce Staley to pick up the slack on the running game and a defense that isn't as dominant

NFC Playoff Favorites:

Panthers (scheduled week 8 & NFC Championship favorites)

watch two seasons ago, if you don't think Steve Smith matters for the Panthers, he had a hamstring scare like Reggie Brown as well, Smith has injured this before, including a month ago, the team claims its day-to-day but who knows, it could be one of those nagging injuries that gets worse if not healed properly

Other Scheduled Opponents:

Jaguars (week 1)

"Fragile Fred" Tayor came up limp again in traning camp, he's one of the best NFL running backs when healthy, not sure how much it will hurt because the Jags have already starting drafting and signing for life without Taylor

Titans (week 4)

it appears we'll be playing the Titans minus one of their starting defensive linemen, Rien Long was carted off the field after playing alongside in Albert Haynesworth in training camp, awaititng MRI results to see how bad it is

Texans (week 6)

top running back Domanick Davis still nursing a surgically repaired knee, might not be 100% when playing us, but making good progress

That is a nice post and something that we may want to make a sticky so we can keep track of what is going on with our opponents this year...

I planned on making a new one each week. Course, I've had plans like that before with thread series and laziness has gotten the best of me. :D

This list will mean a lot more as training camp goes on. One of the toughest periods for me as a fan is training camp. It's nice hearing about the guys who are showing up, but I hate waiting for injury news.
