The Dallas Cowboys have had a deep seated domination over the NFL's other teams and they look to continue their legacy with the 2009 Dallas Cowboys schedule that is awaiting. They have more Monday night victories than any other team, won five Super Bowls, and 8 conference championships. They did get off to a rocky start, but they have been cruising through the ranks ever since. Their first year left them winless. They are in second place for how many Super Bowls they've won, right behind the Pittsburgh Steelers. They are colloquially named "America's Team."

In the 2009 Dallas Cowboys schedule, they have brought back many of their best. Tony Romo will continue to anger Steelers fans through his, as some will argue, superiority. The Cowboys have always made good draft picks, and this year is no different. They traded some picks, but acquired worthwhile players. Their defensive line was augmented by the newcomers, providing them with a stronger offense. They kick off their first preseason game on August 13th, visiting Oakland in their home turf. Their first regular season game, however, will be against Tampa Bay on September 13th.

2009 Dallas Cowboys Team Preview

Week 1 - Dallas @ Tampa Bay - Sunday, September 13th, 2009: The first game of the Cowboys in Tampa Bay delivers a pivotal defeat for the Bucs. Tampa Bay's inexperienced coach may prove to be their downfall.

Week 2 - New York Giants @ Dallas - Sunday, September 28th, 2009: Rivalries always produce terrific games. This won't be any different. Expect big bang for your buck out of the Cowboys.

Week 3 - Carolina @ Dallas - Monday, September 28th, 2009: Dallas frequently wins Monday night games. Carolina had it rough enough, but playing Dallas at home won't be an easy match.

Week 4 - Dallas @ Denver - Sunday, October 4th, 2009: Denver's essentially new team may not be able to stand up to the establishment that is the Cowboys.

Week 5 - Dallas @ Kansas City - Sunday, October 11th, 2009: The Chiefs will have to have luck and determination on their side if they hope to stand a building's chance in a nuclear blast.

Week 6 - Bye week

Week 7 - Atlanta @ Dallas - Sunday, October 25th, 2009: Week 7 - Atlanta @ Dallas - Atlanta will put up a hard battle against the Cowboys. Whoever wants it more will take it.

Week 8 - Seattle @ Dallas -Sunday, November 1st, 2009: Seattle's efforts may be in vain. Dallas has the better team.

Week 9 - Dallas @ Philadelphia - Sunday, November 8th, 2009: The Eagles may trounce the Cowboys. This road game does not bode well for the Cowboys.

Week 10 - Dallas @ Green Bay - Sunday, November 15th, 2009: Green Bay is the crowd favorite, and that level of morale boosting may provide the Packers with sufficient chances at winning.

Week 11 - Washington @ Dallas - Sunday, November 22nd, 2009: Another rivalry game. Dallas should take this win against their divisional rival.

Week 12 - Oakland @ Dallas - Thursday, November 26th, 2009: Essentially a free win for Dallas. Oakland doesn't stand a chance.

Week 13 - Dallas @ New York Giants - Sunday, December 6th, 2009: A road based L for the Cowboys. The Giants are just too over qualified.

Week 14 - San Diego @ Dallas - Sunday, December 13th, 2009: Bleak outlooks for San Diego. Luck may give them a chance, however.

Week 15 - Dallas @ New Orleans - Saturday, December 19th, 2009: The Saints thrive on their home turf. Dallas's win is not assured.

Week 16 - Dallas @ Washington - Sunday, December 27th, 2009: A Sweep may be a reality here. Skins could over come Dallas, but it will take some serious playing.

Week 17 - Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys - Sunday, January 3rd, 2010: Dallas may win or lose out on the Playoffs. This game could be that deciding factor. Time shall tell.

Is it just me, or does this writer seem like a HUGE Cowboys homer?

....Not that there's anything wrong with that!

So for my interest I looked at the author's take on the Skins. He lost a bit of credibility in his very first paragraph:

. Gains were had, losses were seen, and the Skins acquired a totally new coach. After running 6-2 for the first half of the 2008 season, then dropping to 8-8, these changes may have been seen as necessary. Coach Joe Gibbs was replaced by Jim Zorn, Joe Jansen and James Thrash were both dropped. Coming in on contracts were Albert Haynesworth, and DeAngelo Hall, and Derrick Dockery. Brian Orakpo was a noteworthy draft pick.

I re-read this several times to see if I was misunderstanding him, but he clearly thinks Coach Gibbs was running the show last season. And then goes on to predict a Philly sweep of the Skins (I believe we swept them last year). Not gonna buy much of what they are saying.

Can't wait for the season to start.

I will be very disappointed if we start the season 3-2 with that schedule. We should be able to go 4-1 maybe even 5-0. But 3-2 would be a terrible start with that schedule.

My dream is that both us and NE go undefeated, and we beat them in the SB.

Hey, one can dream, right?

That was my 2007 dream or close to it. When we were pushing 10-1 and they were sitting at 11-0, I started to realistically envision a 16-0 vs 15-1 SB matchup. That would've been awesome. The build up to the game would've been tremendous.

Just think of a 16-0 vs 16-0 SB. It would be the game of the millenium. Consider all the bulid up for all past championship games/series in every sport at every level.

An unbeaten SB match-up would trump them all.

Plenty of worthy AFC opponents to consider for maxium impact. Steelers, Chargers, Colts. But the Pats with Brady would be my choice as well.

That's what this time of year is for. Dreaming, hoping, looking at the upcoming season with rose colored glasses for every fan, every team. No matter what transpired last year.

Every fan [most logical ones anyway] may deep down know that their team has no chance, or a possiblility, but in reality probably not, but also has that glimmer of hope that it may be different. After all, ever since the Rams won their SB, from worst to first. Every team has that chance.

Good post. You never know. See: Cardinals. Crappy division. 9-7. Superbowl.

That's the beauty of football...............

Yeah, I couldn't help but chuckle while reading it, but I see no reason why we can't start the season 5-0.
