I got mine today. I always look forward to these. Of course, the new stadium is featured on the cover, but I've seen better views of it than that one.

As far as the merchandise, it seems to get better every year with the variety of t-shirts and jackets and even the women's, ahem, unmentionables. But nothing compares to a jersey as far as apparel goes.

Anyone else get theirs in the mail?

We haven't won a championship in 13 years, yet we continue to promote the 5 super bowls as if they were won recently. I apperciate our past, but when you haven't won a playoff game in 12 years it would be wise to lay low.

I don't know. Some teams have never won a Super Bowl. Although Pitt beat us to six, it's still a pretty big deal to have 5 trophies. That, and they're trying to make money.

Got mine in the mail today with a picture of the stadium on the front. Some quick thoughts.

1. Sorry but the apparel is bland. I think the greatest era of really cool merchandise was back in the 90's with Apex. Great selections with innovative designs and color schemes. Today's stuff is so cookie-cutter and unimaginative. I'll get the usual restock of t-shirts and hats but that's about it.

2. There is still a big emphasis on the rings and cliche's like "It's A Champion Thing." It was a great ride for a long time and we all got everything we could out of it but with the Steeler's 6th it feels like a glorified second place. I now look at that stuff and shake my head, especially with the playoff drought we're in. Embrace the past but don't live off it.

3. No golf stuff. I had the nicest set of head covers that were white with a great Cowboys design sewn in and I saw a guy at Pebble Beach with an unbelievable Cowboys bag. Now...nothing.

4. Everything else is the 2009 version of 2005 merchandise.

Does anyone know if Jerry has to follow NFL guidelines on merchandise or is he free to do his own stuff. The whole merchandise division needs an infusion of creativity in my opinion.

I have to agree with you.
I haven't purchased anything in a while because most of the stuff is garbage and the whole "5 rings" thing is really played out.

This stuff desperately needs a fresh update.

The only thing I really get interested in each year are the hoodies. I love to bust those out in the fall/winter. Shame the NFL is tied to Reebok, I'd love some New Era Boys' fitted caps.
