Can I ask why?
Why I like Esco?

I think he is way more talented than he is given the opportunity to show. The same thing is happening with him as happened with Martellus in that JG doesn't know how to get him the ball. Sure, he might not be a great blocker, but there is no reason you can't split him out and have him work the seam or use him in the red zone.

He's not as good, but he can do a lot of the same things as Jimmy Graham. To not be able to find ways to get a guy like that the ball is just absurd.

I would agree in that I just don't think this offensive coaching staff knows how to get the two TE offense going, no matter who they have.

Neither Fasano nor Bennett were bad players, the Cowboys just didn't know how to maximize their talents, thereby making them worthy of the second round draft selection. So far, they're doing the same to Escobar.

That said, knowing that disturbing pattern, I think we would be getting more from Warford, especially at this point.

Probably, but that's on JG's ineptitude as a coordinator, not the drafting.

What do you feel are our main needs next offseason besides owner, gm, coaching?

I say resigning Hatcher is important but I would not overpay due to his age. I would look to giving him a 3-4 year deal at around $5 million a season.
If resigned I say our needs in this order are DE, OG, RB, DT, S
If not resigned I say DE, DT, OG, RB, S

I would invest a mid-late round pick in a good run blocking FB because we lack big time in the running game without a lead blocker especially in short yardage situations.
I think we need to go RB early in the draft and I wouldn't mind getting bishop Sankey

Copy/Paste from the 2011, 2012, and 2013 off seasons...

Escobar IMO is better than Fasano or Bennett, why we don't use this guy in the end zone or down the seam is just crazy to me, but as usual we are slow to take chances although Red is getting more youth on the field this yr.

Same thing I've thought for the past few years: OL, Safety, and DL.

which team is killing it in the draft? just for my personal knowledge.

Lets try, Seattle, SanFran, KC to name a few. Those teams were once one of the worst teams in the NFL, their rebuilding took less than five years. Ours has taken...mmm....almost twenty...

Escobar is light years better catching the ball than Fasano or Bennett. We should see more of him as the season wears on. Part of the problem he isn't seeing more action is the simple fact of how far he is down the receiving food chain.

Wasn't Escobar drafted because Garrett was going to revolutionize offensive football with the "12" offense and the nightmare mis matches it was going to create? as it turns out our 2nd round draft choice is a third stringer. I guess it could be worse, we could of used our 1st round pick on a TE and then make him a thrid stringer.

But just because we see OL, DL and safety a priority doesn't mean Jerry will see it this way. Selling jerseys is very important to Jerry and having drafted OL in the first round the last 2 of the last 3 years has cut into the jersey profit margins.
