it sucks, the Pens are rarely on tv down here in SA......the night they are, the Stros are on against the Royals.....so I'm watching my Stros. Playoffs trumps regular season, especially the first game of a long flippin NHL season.

lol, I had the same issue, but I was lucky enough that the Rangers played at 3:30 and it ended an hour before the Stars first game of the season!

Of course, being on TV only matters if their on TV here. I have NHL Center Ice, so I steam all the Stars games unless they are on TV locally which I hate since I only have 40 channels on cable TV. I stream almost everything except the morning news. If I could stream that, I would have no cable/broadcast TV. (well, I would miss locally broadcasted Cowboys games, so maybe not)

My last two years living in Dallas, were the first two years of the Stars' new tenure in Dallas. A buddy and I bought season tickets for those two years and it was a LOT of fun going to the games...

I made a couple of logos back in '99 when they won the Stanley Cup... I haven't done graphics in YEARS...

Niemi was the first goalie to ever have a shutout and two assists in a game.

This was the 2nd time Crosby has been held shot less in his career. The first time he was injured in the first period.

That was a fun game to watch last night. What's funny is the Pens had more shots on goal, but the Stars actually had like 9 more quality shots on goal than the Pens did. Most of their shots were not quality shots. That's good news coming out for the Dallas defense.

Anyone watch the Stars Panthers game? That started off terribly, but then the Stars completely dominated that game. It was great to see Seguin finally get back on track! (four point night for Seguin, and I believe three points for Beastmode Benn)

The Panthers had been dominate defensively only giving up five goals in the four games prior to playing the Stars, then the Stars dropped four on them in that game alone and that could have easily been six goals!

It was good to see Radek Faksa make his NHL debut too. Against Jagr no less too. (his idol and only other countryman playing in the NHL right now)

Stars play the Flyers tomorrow. It's a national broadcast which mean we get to here the national broadcasting idiots continue to call Antoine Roussel, Dominic Roussel, and John Klingberg, John Klingman. Ugh

They are playing great, but it's still not polished hockey, but then it's still early. I've very pleased so far.
