Twitter: 2016 Draft Derek Henry & Zeke

Is 500 carries too small a sample size?

Here's your sample man stuff your face with it Bonn Appetit.......

LOL

I guess 33 is middle aged. Overweight? Whiff.

But yeah I do have a high opinion of myself (if I don't who will?) I've achieved more than my fair share.

What does any of this have to do with the fact that Henry has been better than zeke running the ball over their last 500 carries and did it for 1/5th the salary....and that's before you get to Zeke's extension.

Nothing right? Let's stick to the topic at hand and leave the insults to children. Mkay?
I can tell you are all nerded up because of feel you spent so much time trying to come up with a compelling argument against Zeke and you just can’t wait to go on the interest and use it. You want to steer the conversation down the path that will let you use some of this anti Zeke stats you spent time searching for. Boy are you excited......

you come on here today looking for a fight. You post something inflammatory and just sit back giggling over how clever you are....

the everyone laughs at you, gives you a big hot helping of So What and some even called you out..,,

So now here we are. You want to argue some of these nerd facts. I get it. But you just lost any credibility long ago about this subject. Nothing anyone can say will even move you 1% right? You already figured it all out. Who don’t know why HOF players are so wrong. You don’t know why other fans are all wrong...******** it you are right and you have the stats to prove it..

It’s a fail dude. Move on.

Henry has faced the highest % of 8+ men boxes in the entire league since entering the league. "You dont play eight men in the box against Henry as much...." Yes you do, apparently.

Thinking that D's focus in on Zeke more than every other RB is flawed logic that is not at all aligned with reality

Thanks for that information. I would not have thought it.

Since putting players in ideal scenarios to bolster their performance is done with other players, I'd like to see what Henry could do if he played with a better QB and with a receiver worthy of commanding extra attention. Henry has faced a ton of stacked boxes, which enables him to hit some home runs when he breaks through them. Zeke needs to take advantage of his stacked boxes like that sometimes too.

Agreed.

I missed on Henry, I wasn't a fan of his when he was coming out.

If a person disagrees and beats you in a debate they're now a "tool troll".

Yeah okay, little buddy. Just sit this one out.
Yeah, but you go off the reservation with regard to Elliott.

We all get your stance.

Again. Zeke almost won the rookie rushing record if not for being sat out. Ive mentioned it multiple times and even quoted him and he hasnt responded. lol. Goes to show you.

Henry faced 8+ defenders in the box on 32.09% of his carries. Zeke faced that kind of attention on 24.67%

Next.

So about 69 carries for Henry and 76 carries for Elliott., pretty close to even considering that they weren't handed the ball every time a team used an eight-man front.

It is interesting, though, that it was roughly the same amount of plays.

There are still questions their disparities in touches raise even if you take this away. Surely, you cannot believe that a straight-up comparison of their last 500 carries tells the whole story.

Derrick Henry is good when he can get that big body up to speed but he lacks a ton of ability that Zeke has.

Most NFL RBs produce at a elite level if they get volume and Henry is just another example of that.

Zeke is way better but it won’t show up in the stats because RB’s that can produce are a dime a dozen.

Does the OP know that Henry had 17 rushes for 44 yards last night?

Or that he hasn't had a single 100 yard game this season?

Or that he's never had more than 15 receptions in a season?

I mean, maybe just maybe instead of comparing the last 500 rushes, we use years. Since the 500 rushes uses all four years of Henry's career, but only account for the last year and half of Zeke's career.

But I mean hey, the only way to make that point is to do it that way, since zeke has outplayed him this year, and will outplay him for the season.

Agreed.

I actually would have been fine with us drafting him instead of Elliott, but that's not the way Dallas chose to go. It's worked out fine for us so far, so I see no reason to complain. If Elliott had been a bust at No. 4 like Taco ended up being as a first-rounder, I could understand why some would want to disparage him.

Ultimately, I think these threads about who's better are irrelevant. It just matters what the player you have does in the situation he's been given.

I keep bringing up the rookie rushing record Zeke would have won and the OP keeps ignoring me. Funny how that works.
Why does it matter?
And I wouldn't say 170 yards is "within striking distance", that's two extra games needed to break it.

Saquan had more yards his rookie season than Zeke had his rookie season, so what's your point here?

Unbelievable he did that with Eli Manning and that horrible offensive line. I'd like to see Barkley play in our offense for a few games to get a comparison. That'd be interesting to see.

This is a debate about Henry and Zeke. Whats your point bringing Saquon in? And yes 170 yards is a lot. However he broke a 50 yarder that game (which the op said he cant do) And was sat for the rest of the game and the next game. He could have easily hit 170 if he played.

It just wasn't a good use of the 4th overall pick. We knew that then, and it's remained true.

And I don't think anyone is disparaging him, it's more of "if yall really think Zeke is the best RB you need to start watching other RBs" thing.

There are even those who think Zeke is the engine behind our team and makes a significant difference in games. That needs to be corrected.

Why bring up a rookie (almost) record in a debate between Zeke and Henry?
