I'm sure the fact he hasn't played a whole lot recently probably plays a part in it. And yeah, they could roll him out there in a back brace but that seems a little silly. Travis Frederick is a good choice as a replacement.

Scandrick has been rehabbing as much as practicing with the team for the past year recovering from his ACL. He is the best player on on the defense going in but choosing Church makes sense. Church is intelligent and personable. If only that won Super Bowls.
