Tapper's injury was a PARS defect. A broken bone in the lower back, basically. If not caused by an underlying degenerative condition, he should be 100% once it is healed. There hasn't been any indication that it is because of something degenerative. All of that to say, I think you're going to have a much better pass rush than many of you are expecting. I loved this pick. It's unfortunate he was sidelined a year, but I think the Cowboys selected much better defensive players that what we got last year. I feel cautiously optimistic going forward.
I think we need to find a CB, Safety, DE and OL in that order in this draft. I think our front office can find some pieces of this puzzle in the next draft.
