***2018 Cowboys Draft Picks***

all things equal...solid draft.
Love LvE,Connor Williams and Gallup.
Dorance Armstrong REALLY intrigues me...could really be special.
I liked the Schultz pick....love smart, tough players...Cedrick Wilson fits that.
Bo another solid addition.
The one Im not overly familiar with is the LB...Covington...but Kiper seemed to like it.

we'll find out...I would have thought a DT or S would've found their way to us but the kid from the Raiders,Jihad Ward might be that guy.
Im excited to see what this group does.
I think Dallas got better...we'll see.

WANted Scarborough on the Eagles, we signed Darren sproles right after you took him so maybe Howie did too

Any RB named Bo get's a shot. My favorite dual sport athlete of all time and one of my favorite RB's. Bo knows best.

Great rounds 1-3. Hear good things about Shultz and his work ethic and well...

This really says it all for me.

Competition at QB with White. Interesting trades for Austin and Ward. Obviuosly connected. No splashes, no WHATTTS! Good draft.

Didn't hear that on Covington. He was the one pick I thought was more of a special teams choice than actually looking for a position contributor.

6th Round (208) - WR Cedrick Wilson Boise State

Overview
Wilson is a former high school quarterback with just four years of experience as a receiver including two on a major college level. He showed improvement from his junior to senior season and should continue to get better with more coaching and experience. Wilson has the potential to be a quality backup who might find time in three wideout sets. Teams may choose to use him as a big slot option with the potential to challenge on all three levels.
Strengths

    • Comes from football bloodline
    • Possesses good height and exudes confidence game-in and game-out
    • Can work outside or from slot
    • Nuanced route runner
    • Changes speeds inside his route to open doors for separation
    • Disguises route intentions underneath and on deep outs with strong vertical push
    • Able to coax off-man corners to open hips early
    • Has build-up speed with an extra gear when tracking the deep ball
    • Saw 26 percent of his catches go for 25-plus yards
    • Athletic and competitive with ball in his hands
    • Used on all three levels
    • High school quarterback who completed all four career pass attempts on gadget plays
    • Can compete as kick and punt returner
Weaknesses

    • Is a step slow into his routes off the snap
    • Had issues finding clean releases against aggressive press
    • Likely to see immediate, physical challenges off the snap as a pro
    • Won't always keep feet under him which caused occasional stumbles at the top of his routes
    • Ball skills and hand-eye coordination are average
    • Is a little tardy in making adjustments to off-target deep balls
    • Below average finishing challenging catches outside his frame
    • Won't have a highlight reel filled with circus catches
Sources Tell Us

"They like him inside his building. He's a worker and he doesn't take anything for granted because he had to work his way into this position. He's self made. I go to bat for those guys because they never let you down due to football character." -- AFC team area scout

I really like this pick.

Cedric Wilson looks like a body catcher but makes those tough grabs.

Made out well in the draft it looks like. Adding Bo and Austin adds some more dimensions and depth to the running game, which should absolutely be our bread and butter moving forward.

wow, we kept all the draft picks except bo a 7th rounder.
also kept 1 udfa and traded another for a backup guard/tackle with starting experience

............and that not a good sign / more of a commentary on the existing talent base.
