Halfway college football season some draft potential college QB's - Completion percentages - interception total:

1. Dwayne Haskins -- OSU --7 games -- 72% completion (175/242) -- 4 int.

2. Will Grier -- WVU -- 6 games -- 71% completion (137/192) -- 7 int.

3. Ryan Finely -- NC State -- 5 games -- 69% completion (130/187) -- 3 int.

4. Daniel Jones -- Duke -- 4 games -- 68% completion (69/101) -- 2 int.

5. Justin Herbert -- Oregon -- 6 games -- 63% completion (106/168) -- 5 int.

6. Drew Lock -- Missouri -- 6 games -- 58% completion (131/223) -- 6 int.

Don't do this to yourself. We are not drafting a QB this year. We like our bum.

The WR group might not have very many true sure fire 1sts. There is always risk taking a WR in the 1st any ways.

You can look in any draft and find a couple that completely bust out of the league, sometimes even before their rookie contract is up.

I realize we need WRs badly, but it needs to be treated like anything else. Make the value merit the pick.

You literally could say that about any position on the field.

Not picking a partucular position in a given round due to some unrelated bust from three years ago on a different team with entirely different circumstances is akin to not betting on a certain number because "it hasn't hit all day."

Kaden Smith in the 2nd round makes too much sense. Local kid, Boys/Witten fan. It's going to happen.

NFL Scout quote from 2 weeks ago: “I remember going to SC last year and everyone thought Darnold was staying.

Darnold wanted to stay. He just didn't think Helton and rest of USC's coaches would get him any better. This year is proving him 100% right.

I think Herbert goes because he's the only surefire, top of the draft-caliber QB this year. Everyone else is a total mystery.

I'll take Tua or Herbert If Dak should not be the answer in 2020.

I came into this season very intrigued by Lock. If you think Dak doesn't do well in the face of pressure, you should watch Lock more closely. Derek Dooley may have ruined him.

Justin Herbert has all of the tools and is likely a top 5 pick.

Drew Lock has great size and a big time arm, but he struggles with pressure and accuracy.

Ryan Finley (NC State) and Daniel Jones (Duke) are getting a lot of love lately. Finley has prototypical size. Jones is a David Cutcliffe product.

Will Grier may be Geno Smith, and he may be Drew Brees. Too big of a window.

2020 is the year to go get a quarterback.

It's going to be really hard to get motivated for this with no 1st round pick.
We may still make a move and end up with another 2nd rounder, who knows. THAT GIVES US AMMO TO GO INTO THE MIDDLE FIRST IF NEEDE BE, I am not enmored with the top2 or 3 QB'S. I like Stidham from Auburn honestly. I think he would be a great 2nd round steal//or late first. That said, we aint going QB early. Round 2 will net us a good player. My fave is Ed Oliver from Houston.
