I am not sold one tight ends. I know Cleveland has been bad but njoku was supposed to be the next greatest thing and he only has 7 career td's in 2 years. Howard on Tampa the same thing and he only has 5

Howard has really developed this year but was just placed on IR (34 rec./565 yards/16.6 YPC/5 TDS). Njoku has played well but his production has been inconsistent along with the WB play.

I would take either one of those guys over any of our TEs. They would transform this offense.

What do you mean you're not sold on Tight Ends?

Like these Tight ends or the position in general?

Most of these guys will be 2nd round at best and it's a big need for this team.

Njoku and Howard both are studs.

Njoku to me looks like he could be a top 3 TE in short time if he can keep developing. Add in some stability at OC/HC/QB would go a long way for every WR/TE on that roster.

He should watch Travis Kelce or a healthy Gronk play and tell us how he isn't sold on Tight Ends.

He is going by TD's it seems. A poor barometer of measuring a TE's impact.

Same with Engram in NY although u can blame alot on ELi. .
2018 TEs what have any of them done?
  • Mike Gesicki (Sr., Penn St., 6-foot-5, 247 pounds) ...
  • Dallas Goedert (Sr., South Dakota St., 6-5, 255) ...
  • Hayden Hurst (Jr., South Carolina, 6-4, 250) ...
  • Ian Thomas (Sr., Indiana, 6-4, 259) ...

Appears to be a pretty solid class to grab a TE.

I wouldn’t pick one early, but imagine you could get a solid option in the 4th/5th to develop.

Jace Sternberger explodes down the seam, run wheel routes from slot like a WR. Don't know about his blocking but he could add a dimension to the passing game.

Add Dax Raymond from Utah State and Josh Oliver from San Jose State to that list.

I'm hoping for one of these 3:

1 Noah Fant Iowa Junior 6-4 232 Big Ten

5 Irv Smith Jr. Alabama Junior 6-3 243 SEC

7 T.J. Hockenson Iowa RS Sophomore 6-5 243 Big Ten

im loving the Hockenson kid, got some wheels but he is one tough SOB at the POA, plays with a chip on his shoulder. And you know they are taught as well as any TE's in the country how to run block....

If Garrett decides not to use them, te is a wasted pik
Fasano, Marctellus, Escobar, Hanna, and I'll throw Rico in also
All had their weakness and strengths....but once Garrett decides the guy is a non-persona its over
