Has anyone else looked ahead to each NFC East team’s schedule the rest of the way? I don’t want to get overconfident but I can’t see any way barring catastrophic injury where we don’t win the division going away. The others teams aren’t very good but each one is looking at tough sledding just to reach .500. And that would have to include beating up on one another. I know it’s only week five and anything can happen but this division is ours for the taking.
Well, according to Football Outsiders, we have played the 9th toughest schedule to date and the rest of our schedule is rated 22nd hardest. Philadelphia 15th to date, 19th future. Washington 10th and 1 (hardest future schedule). Giants 13th to date and 11th future. Looks promising! https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/team-efficiency/2021
Our schedule is favorable. There are some challenges yet; we will play the Cardinals, Chiefs, Raiders,
Got both KC & LV Thanksgiving week -away, then home game. Cardinals is the last home game before the season finale @ Eagles. And it is the only game out of the last five going down the stretch that is not a division rival. Going to check if any other teams have that ending.
We will see how that team does under the interim HC Steve Bisaccia. After a two-game skid, LV could rebound. @ DEN, host PHL, bye week, then @ NYG before home games v. division rival KC and CIN. 5 games before Turkey Day @ AT&T Stadium. Could be 3-7, 8-2...more likely somewhere in between.
I'm sure the Cowboys are "not afraid" of them either. Just pointing out it going to be awhile before the teams play each other. By then we'll know how the Raiders reacted to their issues. Across all different sports at all levels, teams have lost their HC\ manager during a season (for whatever reason) but still turned around or continued to have a successful year.
And we will be on hand to see if the Raiders swirl down the porcelain drain, or right their pirate ship and will still be a playoff contender six weeks from tonight.
I'm honestly expecting us to have this division all but wrapped up with a 4 game lead by Thanksgiving
The two division versus division matchups for the NFC East is a major factor. Cowboys currently 1-1 against NFC South, 1-0 against AFC West. Eagles 1-0 v. NFC South, 0-1 AFC West Giants 1-1 v. NFC South, 0-1 AFC West Ftbl Tm 1-1 NFC South, 1-0 AFC West
