I'm pulling for Texas Tech big time!

Have to disagree about that resume.
Utah was a somewhat decent win. 3 of the teams are absolutely, comically awful. Houston is middlin

Don't disagree with you on the schedule, it has been soft for Tech. Ranked 84th nationally.
But unlike SEC schools playing non top 25 teams and winning by 7, Tech has won by 24 or more every game of the season.
They were the underdog at Utah and won by 24. They beat Utah so bad voters unfairly dropped them from 16 to out of the top 25.
UH was undefeated and Tech blew them out of their stadium.

The SOR is an SEC requested and demanded metric that is a big factor in the CFP because SEC fought for it this year. Its calculations at 60% weighting along with an offensive and defensive efficiency metric component at 20% each give you an actual performance grade.

Tech and tOSU are the 2 schools consistently outpacing expectations by winning with huge margins.
Tech has not trailed a single second of the season.
They are 1st in total offense and passing offense.
They are 4th in scoring defense.

The starting QB has played in the 4th quarter of 1 game. This last one and they refused to pass the ball the final 8 minutes of the game calling repeated runs and then kneeling 3 times at the 10-yard line.

This Tech team has been as impressive as anyone in the country. They are absolutely loaded with NFL talent.
And end of the day, thankfully we have a CFP so they can go prove it.

The 5 best teams I have seen this year are easy to define. The SEC has a lot of top 25 caliber teams but zero complete football teams.

Will be interesting to see if Bill makes it another week at UNC.

NOTHING is going right for that guy lately.

Now an assistant has been caught breaking some rules.

If UNC can somehow get out of having to pay Bill and turn it into a "just fire" situation and they (UNC doesn't have to spend boat loads of money), I give it even odds UNC looks at doing it due to the circus atmosphere with everything Bill brought with him to campus.

Penn State isn't so lucky LOL

Looks like Bill and UNC are in talks.

In conversations with officials at North Carolina, Bill Belichick “signaled willingness” to trigger his own buyout if he could find “a soft landing with another team or in media,” according to a report from Ollie Connolly. If Belichick chooses to leave UNC, he would owe the school $1 million.

Connolly reported some staffers believe North Carolina could make a change within two weeks. Additionally, he said members of Belichick’s staff have had conversations with other schools in College Football Playoff contention about possible postseason roles.

During North Carolina’s first bye week, some coaches had a hard time getting in touch with Belichick, Connolly reported. His communication has been “weird” and “distant,” multiple coaching staff members told Connolly.

Look how far he has fallen

Sad in a way but then he always was an arrogant SOB so frankly he has it coming

He should have retired from the Pats the year after Brady left but he could not let go

Few big games this week with title implications:
  • OSU @ Illinois
  • Alabama @ Missouri
  • Indiana @ Oregon
  • Oklahoma @ Texas
  • Florida @ Texas A&M
Should be a good day to lounge and watch some football tomorrow.

I agree. The game was passing him by but he refused to retire, and in a sense hurt his legacy a bit. Not sure if that matters to him, as all he has known really is coaching in some manner, but going to college never made any sense to me.

mizzou is gonna be tough at home today.
i think bama wins a close one but my gut says i'm on the wrong side.

What has the world come to when Harvard is ranked in the top 25 and Texas with Manning isn't?

Go Buckeyes!

Seems pretty clear Ohio State is the consensus #1.

But Alabama with Ty Simpson is really impressing.
