Looking at 5-1 Houston’s schedule so.

5 either awful or poor teams
1 good team

Hard to say what they are
Mediocre but multiple offense with bad pass protection and a good defense.
If they were in the SEC, they'd likely be 4-2 but ranked in the top 25.

USC with the big win over Michigan. Some decent upsets today!
Have zero idea why people pretend Michigan is good. Double digit loss to OU. They have the 12th best passing offense in the Big 10 and smack dab middle defense.

USC was easily the better team.

article is dead on
As much as I am an Irish Fan, they do not deserve to be ranked where they are
Alabama under Saban was a LOT of the reason the SEC got so much cred
SEC probably still has a higher level of talent then any other conference
but that does not mean they should get special treatment. What happens ON THE FIELD IS WHAT MATTERS
and by that factor, they are over rated and that needs to stop
the AP needs to start censuring voters that let personal bias affect their votes

amazing that one of the AP voters kept Michigan at 17 and left USC out of top 25

some of these guys don't even bother keeping up

Wow. I thought Miami was going all the way this year. Even with Carson Beck throwing a million interceptions, Miami still only loses by 3 to Louisville. Too late to get back in the Tourney? #2 to ....#? Great upset. Louisville will be in Top 25 next week for sure.

You can’t lose to an unranked team at home but they probably drop to #16 or so?

Miami got trapped by a good team

Back to back games vs their main rivals Florida and Florida St, then faced a now 6-1 Louisville team on a short week.

Super Bowl for Louisville and they pulled the upset

Rankings have been weird all year.
Sometimes I think they shouldn’t have rankings until week 8 or so

9-12 range is my guess
Ahead of 4-2 and #13 ND, who Miami beat

Also, several other ranked teams will take losses this week going head tohead

I agree about rankings but probably game six or so

Miami had a let down and they ran into a buzzsaw and there you are
as long as they win out they are in

I agree with this. But it will never happen because they need rankings for the television games so that they can promote them and say how good the games are going to be.

“Top 10 Matchup”, etc…

Louisville looks like a good team. Maybe should've been ranked already, but will be now, certainly

Eli Stowers is a kind of quick TE I want, really separates easily.

Not sure how LSU was ranked 10th.
They came in 5-1 and their only "good" win was vs a weak Clemson team in week 1.
I don't see Miami falling below 10 or 11.

Texas edged out an OT win over Kentucky. 16-13. Kentucky???
Why do I get the impression Arch Manning is not really the big deal some thought??

Kentucky blew it in OT. You obviously don't have the talent in the trenches to match up vs. the Texas defense but you decide to run it back to back in jumbo formation? If the plan was to run the ball vs. 11 defenders in the box, you might as well have kicked the FG
