Incredible TD by Indiana.
What a drive to take the lead with 36 seconds left

Whoah. Wasted TO PSU. That was some decent field position too.

That was a great TD catch. Maybe playoff-saving for Indiana. They could have afforded to lose a game and still end up in the conference championship. But now if they win out and lose to OSU in the conference championship, they should still be in the playoff as a high seed

they still would have gotten in even with this loss and losing to OSU. If OSU was #1 at the time they would certainly still get a decent seed as long as they were not destroyed. The Committee seems to be reasonable about things. Upsets happen.
Now they play OSU reasonably tough they will get a high seed

Lincoln Riley on the hot seat pleases me. That guy was the most overrated coach since Chip Kelly. Very easy to predict his failure.

Oregon barely snuck by Iowa on last second field goal

Iowa is decent; very good on D but their O has been lousy for a decade
Oregon should have done much better

Tough road game in crappy weather. Also the Ducks were down key offensive starters (starting OL, #1 WR, and #1 TE). They trucked Iowa in the run game. IIRC that is the most rushing yards Iowa has giving up all season.

sounds like excuses to me
Oregon has so much more talent then Iowa that almost losing is a real red flag

jeremiyah love is so much fun to watch.
incredible 48yd td tonight vs navy just before the half.
one of my all-time favorite irish RBs.

if Oregon can run like this against Usc then they are in the playoffs.

Riley is not on a hot seat right now.
They'd love to get him to LSU.
USC playing games on the road in the Big 10 is just really disadvantageous stuff.

Oregon versus USC is probably for the 3rd Big 10 CFP spot
Both teams are good but not great. Oregon has the better D and USC the better O.
It seems very likely they get that 3rd team over a 5th SEC team.

ACC - 1 bid
Big 12 - 2 bids, possible 3.
Big 10 - 3 bids
G5 - 1 bid
SEC - 5 bids, possible 6(insane)

Next weekend gives us a couple good SEC match ups but not much else.
Bama-OU and UT-Georgia should be good games.

USC-Iowa in LA is probably going to be hotly contested but ugly.

5 is almost definite, 6 is possible if Texas beats either A&M or Georgia.i think Vandy will finish 10-2 and should make the playoffs.

Love to get him in LSU? Why? So he could get paid a ton of money to suck there too? They just fired a perennial under achieving coach. They want another? Riley needs to rebuild his reputation and stop failing up.

Vandy is not a good football team. Diego Pavia is a really good player and that makes them a fun watch.
Vandy and Tennessee are both examples of clearly flawed SEC teams that people need to stop hyping IMO.
OT win this week against head coach less Auburn was very unimpressive for the defense.
Vandy has zero wins over teams that will be ranked this week.

SEC has pretty clear tiers:
Bama, TAMU --talented teams that have figured it out on offense and defense.
Georgia, Ole Miss --talented teams that have more variation in play game to game.
UT, OU --very talented rosters that are young and still figuring it out

Vandy, Tennessee, Missou in the murky middle. Missou was pretty good with the starting QB but is no longer. Vandy has had a pretty mid schedule and really wasn't close at all to Bama or UT.

OU has a really tough closing schedule, so I expect they fall out of CFP contention and SEC gets 5 teams in.
If a 6th goes it will likely be a very mediocre football team that will embarrass the SEC in the CFP.

They'll chase Joe Brady and Lane Kiffin because they want offense. I don't see them landing either guy.
But Riley is probably third on their board for that same reason. They saw the OU offenses under Riley and his recruiting at USC. Figure they can hand him an SEC DC and SEC defensive talent.
Riley swears he will never leave but all coaches seem to say that before they take the next job.
