Kirby just owns Sark. 3 games in the last year where he treats Sark like a little brother

I really like Miamis Defense but Beck is so average,i dont think Committee will sneak them in.

I don't think Brent Venables is as bad as his critics say. He knows defense and he's turned around that side of the ball that was a disaster when Lincoln Riley was there. His main weakness is figuring out the right players and assistants for the offense + his team playing poorly in 3/4 rivalry games vs. Texas.

There have been some ups and downs but also consider that this is his first HC job combined with having to navigate joining the SEC plus the NIL/transfer portal era. Who knows how great he can be long-term but sometimes it takes a while for coaches. Just look at Lane Kiffin - he's bounced around different teams and now every team wants to hire him as their HC.

I just cant watch Arch play football, looks like its his first College game every time he plays.
UT's OL has been bad a lot of the season. When facing really bad DL they've cooked but that is not the case most nights in the SEC and certainly wasn't versus tOSU.
Arch is a solid QB but his athleticism was woefully oversold.
He needs to win the pre-snap read with this OL and he isn't.

Texas lost 4 out of their 5 starting OL to the NFL last year and it shows,

Kiffin himself has referenced the NIL and how it is the biggest factor in the job.

The value of your collective is in how much money they raise for NIL. That's it.
Other numbers are about school's roster costs or facilities or basic recruiting budget.

He even says himself the top teams can no longer hoard talent because of NIL.

Again, in his own words he says he has succeeded because of NIL and how aggressively he attacked the portal.. And if he leaves it will only be to a place with bigger NIL.

He has absolutely built Ole Miss up. But he has also had elite resources.

And there is little doubt to me that Kiffin is a bit overhyped from ESPN's non-stop SEC PR arm. He has yet to win truly meaningful games.
I'm sure Kiffin is complaining about lack of NIL funds relative to his SEC opponents. Kiffin was an early adopter of the portal even before NIL bc it's faster to build a program with transfers than with freshman. But he's not using real numbers in these interviews. He just knows he has less now than Texas and many other major programs. And it's become such a disparity that he can't pull these guys out of the transfer portals like he could in the past. While NIL was made legal in 2021, the money didn't start pouring into these schools on day 1 at the levels they are at now. Given time, the bigger schools with bigger fan bases are going to surpass smaller schools like Ole Miss. Ole Miss is at a competitive disadvantage and he knows it.

I think Kiffin is coaching his last season at Ole Miss. He will either go back to the NFL or trade up to a larger program like LSU or PSU than can give him the funds he needs to get the players he wants.

Wow
Georgia working Texas like a rented mule
and Arch looks average at best.
Arch hasn't looked good against anyone playing decent football. He's the product of the social media hype machine. But, he'll have a nice life. It just won't be staring in the NFL. Texas would have had a better chance Saturday playing Arch's backup.

Yes, and should have portaled for at least 2-3 guys on the OL with years of experience but instead relied on all their 4-star kids.
That's why I routinely say HS recruiting rankings are insanely overinflated. --especially when looking at your last 2-3 classes.

Arch was arguably UT's best offensive player this week. UT's offense looked that bad.

There is talk of Ole Miss firing Kiffin with cause if he doesn't respond to their latest contract extension offer before the CFP. ((Vegas Raiders once fired him with cause for the same reason and won))
Pretty clear he has decided on the Florida job which anyone with common sense knew once Ole Miss stopped trying to hire anyone else.
