filthy lucreI've always been amazed at how much money and recruiting some of those schools can do in smaller markets or rural areas, even with the new money rules. Some schools I get. What kid wouldn't want to go to Miami and the beaches and hot women? But somehow, an Ole Miss in podunk poor as hell Mississippi convinces the non-local kid otherwise.
only two games of any interest at allKind of a flimsy slate today
Games that I'm interested in today, fwiw
SMU vs Louisville...ACC implications
Oklahoma vs Mizzou....CFP implications
Washington St at James Madison....JMU trying to get G6 slot
Oregon vs USC.....would be better if at USC
Ga Tech vs Pitt....ACC implications
Cincy vs BYU....at Cincy could make this good
Tulane at Temple....Tulane trying to hold off JMU
UNT at Rice....prob a blowout but curious...same as Tulane game
UTSA vs East Carolina...homer game, but AC implications
Duke vs UNC...homer game...both suck

Programs should be ashamed of scheduling patsies like that. I mean seriously SAMFORD? CHARLOTTE?Any crazy upsets this week? Samford @ Texas A&M? Charlotte @ Georgia? Don't think they have a shot in hell.
Rutgers @ Ohio State? Hmmm....Got stomped by Oregon, but keeping game close so far in 2nd. Have to figure Ohio State will breakthrough at some point.
News flash, the smaller schools love it.Programs should be ashamed of scheduling patsies like that. I mean seriously SAMFORD? CHARLOTTE?
Most conferences allow their teams to do this but no one matched the SEC for this kind of thing.
They boast about how they are the best conference and then schedule jokes like these.
