Same league re-matches tend to be sloppy/sluggish

Tech is better than more than half the teams that will make the playoffs

I really don't think so they don't look the part to me but we'll see . That conference is so weak now compared to the Big 10 and SEC.

I think they get curb stomped. They haven’t faced anyone close to OSU unless Oregon counts.

I'm not sure what to make of Oregon as they haven't played a tough schedule this year. I'm so used to them getting outclassed when they play the best of the best so I tend to think they aren't up there with the big boys.

Pretty sure you don't have to worry about BYU making it.
They are 11th, so no additional spot opened up because spots 11 and 12 are already taking by autobids to team outside the top 12. One is Tulane for sure. The other is either Virginia or JMU.

#12 Miami would move up to BYU's spot, and then the expected debate between Miami and Notre Dame begins.

Texas is not even a consideration. But if Bama loses by 30 and they decide to drop them many spots down maybe BOTH Notre Dame and Miami make it in.

Vanmdy is ahead of Texas but their head-to-head would factor in if it ever came up. They both seem out though

i would not want to play texas tech in the playoff.
that is a tough bunch.

i think they should put both notre dame and miami in and let them play each other in rd1.
that would be an intense emotional match up.

One thing the committee has said is that they want teams that are playing well late in the season. Alabama does not fill that requirement. Georgia controlled this game completely.

I agree. I have been a Bama fan for over 48 years and I don’t think they deserve to be in the playoffs. Just my opinion
