The worst thing that ever happened to TCU was making the championship game and then being made to look like fools when they got stomped.

funny how we beat Ga and Indiana last year and only lost to OSU in the fourth by 11
and arguably OSU had a stronger team last year

but keep it up I could use a laugh

I get what ND is doing here, but this hurts them a whole lot more than it hurts college football. There probably are some politics involved in leaving ND out of the playoff, but all they're doing here is robbing their fans and players from the opportunity to win a bowl game. Very shortsighted on their end and ultimately no one not associated with ND is going to care that they are not involved this bowl season.

i was hoping to see notre dame win the pop tarts bowl and take a chomp outta that giant pop tart.

Not saying you're wrong, but where is that information coming from?

I'm sure players like Love are not going to risk injury in order to win the Pop Tart bowl, but those guys with NFL aspirations this year would have simply sat out the game which has become the norm. If its the players saying they don't want to play thats pretty pathetic in my mind. I'd be sick to my stomach if I were a SR who doesnt have an NFL future and just played my last game ever without even knowing it. It would also be a very bad sign for college football where the playoff has basically killed the bowl games. I know to much of the fan base it already has, but if the players don't even want to participate anymore its even more reason to overhaul the entire system.

Still sets a bad example. Pouting is not the answer. I do not have an axe to grind with ND and would feel the same way if any team made this decision.

Notre Dame vs BYU would have been a must watch Bowl game.
That told us who was really the best team left out.

Terrible look that ND opted out of that game. Doubling down on the criticism that they do not have enough data points.
