everyone once thought the earth was flat too
ND being independent IS THE FLAT EARTH SOCIETY.
Every analogy you use, you use it hilariously in reverse.

But like 15 teams have opted out/refused Bowls. It doesn't always have to be about you.

but we get all the pub and you hate it and I love it

Guess what?

we will stay independent and do just fine as we have for over a century

you can lick the boots of the conferences and systems all you want

ND has been “doing just fine”?
ND hasn’t won a title in a few generations.
Lol

You must be really impressed with Jerry Jones’ 30 years of a failure then. Especially since his last championship is 10 years less ancient than Notre Dame’s.

ND (and others) have opted out of bowl games in the past.

This isn't new. Maybe more common, but not new.

Bowl games I will make every effort to watch:

Pop-Tarts Bowl (GT-BYU) -- Run the dang ball Bowl
ReliaQuest Bowl (Vandy-Iowa) All offense versus all defense.
Holiday Bowl (Arizona-SMU) Big 12-ACC measuring stick, game.
Sun Bowl (Arizona St - Duke) Did Duke get much better as season wore on?
Gator Bowl (Missouri-Virginia) Can Virginia stop the run and win this game?

Besides the CFP games, here are some bowls that I may watch

chronologically

Military Bowl: 8-4 Pittsburgh vs 8-4 East Carolina
Pop Tarts Bowl: 10-2 BYU vs 10-2 Ga Tech
New Mexico Bowl: 11-2 UNT vs 9-3 San Diego St
Music City Bowl: 8-4 Tennessee vs 8-4 Illinois
Reliaquest Bowl: 10-2 Vanderbilt vs 8-4 Iowa
Citrus Bowl: 9-3 Texas vs 9-3 Michigan
Holiday Bowl: 9-3 SMU vs 9-3 Arizona

Notre Dame lives in your head rent free

Last year, the four 1st round host teams won

42-17
38-24
38-10
27-17

I doubt Tulane and JMU do much worse than that. And they may do better.
JMU was supposed to have a good defense; we will find out when they face much tougher competition

Tulane knocked University North Texas out of the process but at 11-2 UNT can go to a bowl and play competition closer to there program.

At Oregon is rough for any team
Their only loss is to #1 IU

In a lot of ways this is JMU's chance to put themselves on the map. Talk about a once in a lifetime shot. I would love it if they managed to pull the upset.
