I'd really like to get Tevin Coleman in the 2nd round - if he lasts till we pick.

Darius Philon in the 4th round. He could be our 3 technique.

If Coleman is gone, I'd like to have Buck Allen/Philon in the 4th/5th round.

Word is Philon interviewed very, very badly.

I can not say, I really follow college, except watch the draft religiously. Can you elaborate? Does he have drug problems, baby mamma drama, fan of One Direction?

Haven't seen anything or heard folks say anything about drugs. Just came off in interviews as immature and basically an ***.

Read the same thing. Don't want him, especially as high as the 4th. There are other DTs just as good and minus the attitude that should be available.

Joseph Randle fell in the draft for similar reasons. He was just a knucklehead. Not really a trouble maker, not a big druggie and didn't have legal issues, but he was/is just a knucklehead. We've seen Randle's issues play out here. Walking out of the store with underwear does not really make you a big time criminal, it just shows you to be a knucklehead. Garrett had a story about how Randle tried to dive into the Ocean from the edge of the water and thought it would be like diving into a pool. I assume that Philon showed to be a similar knucklehead.

Philon never had any trouble at Arkansas and was highly regarded. Dude can play. Screw the interview. You think Charles Haley had a good interview?

For the record, if we don't get Coleman in round 2, I'd settle for Trey Flowers as a consolation prize.

If he is as good as you say, why is it that he has not got a lot more publicity and is considered a late round prospect?

Well he's just a redshirt sophomore - I believe the only one in the draft who has only played 2 years. So he came out at least a year earlier than he should have. That probably hurt him more than anything else - not enough of a body of work. Plus he's a classic 3 technique type, and most teams aren't looking for that type. Too small to be a traditional DT and too big to be a traditional DE. Perfect for the 3 technique.
