We need a burner that can catch on the outside.
.Dez = physical reciver
.Beas = quick receiver
? = fast speed demon reciver

When are you guys going to learn?
We need receivers who are intelligent, can read the defense and run routes consistently

Who is the burner in NE? But they keep winning
Because their QB and receivers are on the same page and receivers run the toured consistently

We need discipline and accountability

The Cowboys need a legitimate #1 WR and a deep threat burner like DeSean Jackson.

Lol?

That's a horrible comparison whoever said that, if for no other reason he's going to measure out at 6'1"-6'2", 205 lbs compared to Beasley's 5'8" frame.
Its why im so confused on him. Everyone here is in love with him and the scouting world is telling me different. I have watched some tape on him but he plays in the FCS and still doesn't look dominate in terms of athleticism. I am getting a Erik Decker feel tho. Amazing skill set and quickness. limited in terms of actual speed.

One of the problems for the Cowboys is that many teams will use a speed guy as the 2nd WR and give him a lot of routes to use his speed. The Cowboys could do that with TWill (fast but not quite a burner) and Butler, but they instead have to have TWill run a lot of the #1 WR routes because Dez can't run them correctly.

If the Cowboys have a more traditional #1 WR, then having a true burner as the #2 would make more sense.

I prefer a true #1 WR even if he is not a true burner; although, I prefer a WR with at least 4.4x type speed. We're seeing that Dez struggles to get open in a lot of situations due to being a 4.52 forty type guy that is now older and has had some injuries which probably makes him closer to a 4.6 forty type guy.

Great points Xwalker I know this is a dream situation but I would love to somehow someway find a Steve Smith Sr. type of WR a burner who has the ability to be a 1. What are your thoughts on the kid Smith who's Dad 0layed for us i belive he is from Eastern Carolina?

Zay Jones?

2016: 158 catches for 1746 yards.

There are some questions about his speed, but you can't overlook anybody with 158 catches in a season.

He looks great in videos but I've been fooled by college WRs before.

Reports indicate that he works hard to be a good blocker and good route runner which is a great sign IMO. These guys need more than just athletic ability in the NFL. They need the work ethic and intelligence to run good routes and do the dirty work like blocking.

His father is Robert Jones, who was on all 3 of the Nineties Super Bowl teams. He was a MLB. Robert was a terrific physical specimen and a very good but not elite player. He was a little bit robotic and always seemed a little slow mentally.
