If it was 50-50 then they wouldnt have even signed him. Clearly they know about his status. I wouldnt even gripe about Easley being the pick without Spencer. Selvie and Crawford playing the SDE. Sooner or later you have to find out what Crawford is in this new 4-3 defense

My guess is that Spencer wanted to be with at team and not try working out and rehabbing alone. I think he has been allowed to workout/rehab at the Cowboys facility, but that would end at some point before training camp.

If Easley is the BPA and the team doctors think it's a good idea, then he should be the pick. They don't need to reach for a DE for 2014 just because it's a need. There are way too many question marks on this team to be reaching for any players or positions.

The guys typically that they bring in are usually the picks early on. At 16 i see 2 picks they brought in that realistically should be there and i have a feeling the RD1 pick will either be Barr or Martin. Not a reach just following their board. IN round 2 i can see them going Easley, Crichton, Ward one of them most likely will be there

He showed alot during his proday. Alot of very good movement very quick. Of course thats in shorts. He said himself he's about 85%. So im guessing sometime during TC he would be 100%

I hear ya, but my concern isn't so much about him getting healthy, I think he'll get healthy. Both of his knee injuries were non-contact, so that's a little worrisome.

I can understand that. Just gotta hope the team did their homework on him when they brought him in.

I think the whole Cowboys are doomed crowd are going to be crying this whole draft. Cowboys have alot of young players they like and were forced into playing last yr when they werent ready because of injuries. But that playing time and them early mistakes will make them better. I have a feeling Heath is going to make Wilcox work this TC but when its done i think Wilcox has too much natural ability. Something clicked for Hollomon at the end of the yr and Lee i would like to see him notch it down on them head first collisions, have him pay more attention to his surroundings instead of just zeroing in on the tackle. Play smarter.

I think that and an influx of new heads on the DL the team shoud be in the hunt.

We can't count on it, because of the consecutive injuries, but I'd say you're right that the team thinks he can play and gives us options if he stays healthy. It's pretty obvious given how they've handled him.
