What do you guys think about that. When you are dealing with a coaching staff and QB that have been together as long as Reid/McNabb....and when you factor in the weapons McNabb has now, that he has NOT had in the past. Are we playing right into their hands making the 3-4 our base defense against the Eagles?

I know Wade has been at this a long time and I for one am hoping if he has something different planned for this weekend. Not saying abandon the 3-4, but I think the Eagles will spread us out and create a lot of mismathces with their speed and weapons if we do not have some sort of wrinkles prepared. Bottom line is the base standard 3-4 is not going to be good enough.

Remember that 46 we were running at times last year? Is now a good time to show some of that? Perhaps a little more zone blitzing?

...this weekend is not the time for trickeration, it is a time for execution...if Dallas plays fundamentally sound football it will trump any new 11th hour hybrid scheme/wrinkle that the team might not be totally comfortable with [causing mistakes that lead to points]...

...Dallas must get pressure, plain and simple...McNabb's passer rating drops to below 50 when he is rushed or blitzed...he will look for Jackson [and Celek] when he is blitzed so Hamlin and whatever corner covers him must play soundly...they use the kid on reverses, quick outs, over the middle, crossing, go, stop and go, etc...he does it all and he's faster than any defender we will have on the field next sunday...

I think the 3-4 like the 4-3 defense is only as good as the people executing it.

:hammer:

You don't go changing a defense that is working in your most important game of the season so far.

While I am not a fan of the 3-4.

I wouldn't change a damn thing. This team needs to be doing the EXACT same thing they have done for 3 weeks now. Keep hittin hard and get to the QB. I don't care how fast and quick Maclin and Jackson are. You bring the wood to those two and they will start to fold. EVERY egal needs to get a lick put on them if they touch the ball. Even if they don't. This team needs to play nasty smashmouth football. They need to take that 44-6 *** whooping and bring it against the egals. Beat them at their own game. Take some chances and go out there and execute..

Holy hell, is it Sunday yet. I am pumped.
