In layman's terms, how is it that Ware will have to pass rush against Orlando Pace? I thought the DE was lined up directly over the tackle, thus forcing the OLB to be blocked by either the TE, RB, or both? Are the guards sliding over to the DE? If so, could a faint of a blitz by the ILB stop that? I think Ware will get manhandled if Pace gets a hold of him.

They line up between the Tackle and the Guard I think. And Ware lines up wide, and because they had Ware Lined up *wider* he was able to get up field and determine where the QB would set.

I'm no expert, but I think the tackle comes over (as if the guy was blitzing he would have to come over anyways) and takes on any outside rushers.

I say, keep Ware as wide as possible, and let him get a head start on Pace that way he can juke to the inside if he has too. And yes, I would blitz a guy right to the inside of Ware to occupy that TAckle, unless he has a RB to pick that up.

Ware if he's pass rushing from 3-4 OLB will have to get by Pace.
NT and interior DE Jobs are not glorious. They are outnumbered and trying to engage and occupy. I'd have Canty in Pace's grill and Ware on the edge as much as possible!

I imagine we will see a little more of Ware on the opposite side as well. Pace will really eat him up if we don't do something to help him out.

You mean, switch sides?

I believe Canty plays RDE next to Ware.
Spears the other side.

You don't know how happy it makes me to be talking about a 3-4 front with the names, Spears, Canty, Ware!

Go get me Gabe Watson and I'm pumped!

I like Gabe, and I think we get him in the 2nd round, he should be there.

And I think by week 6, he will take over for Ferguson like Canty did for Ellis.

I would move Ware around the line, even lining him up in the middle sometimes and running a stunt.

BP mentioned that Ware would only go against Pace about 1/2 the time -- unless Pace is switching sides, I assume he's moving Ware around.

I'm anxious to see if Ware casn push him a little bit. See how Strong Ware is.

Ware only has edge skills at this point. When NFL tackles get into him he disappears.
