This is not an excuse thread. We lost this game. We deserved to.

But seriously, how has the review system not worked out all of the kinks yet? How long has it been in place? Almost a decade???

How is that Felix recovery not reviewable???? 7 points giftwrapped.

How is McCarthy not given a delay of game penalty? I can just see the thought process in the future..."My boys need a breather and I don't have any challenges...shoot, I'll just throw out the red flag!!!"

What a crock of ****.

I'm at a loss also, I thought it was reviewable play, I didn't hear a whistle, what's up with that

every year there seems to be another stupid 'oops we forgot to allow reviews in this situation' that gets fixed. Pretty stupid.

It was pretty sketchy today. I have no idea why the Felix one was dismissed.

And the Packers should have been given some penalty for that; we'll call it the Chris Webber rule.

Not blaming refs for loss, but those things certainly hurt. I don't understand how that was not reviewable. Packers rewarded for refs not calling play dead after Felix recovered. That sealed the game. 10-0 was still a game.

Thanks again Roy for drop and fumble. Thanks Witten for PI (or for other receiver that may have brought the defender in his path). Killed drives and great throws. What a wasted opportunity to go a couple of games up on the rest of the East.

I hope Free is no Proctor....

What a crock of ****.

The officials were simply asleep on that call and it may have cost us the game.

It was clear that Jones had recovered...I know you couldn't review it, but it shouldn't have gotten to that point. Jones clearly had it ripped from him as he sat on his butt.

But that was the theme for the day.....the ball simply bounced GB's way all game.

-Rodgers fumbles deep in their territory...but it's reversed on a ticky-tack call against Jenkins.
-Rodgers fumbles again in their territory...but the ball bounces right to James Jones.
-Roy Williams fumbles on a long pass from Romo....Austin appears to be in position to recover, but somehow gets it ripped from him.
-It looked to me like Williams knee went down, but came back up before McBriar stripped him of the ball.

Simply wasn't our day.

I can't wait until the head ******* of NFL officiating puts the official spin on why the play was not reviewable. This team deserved to loose the game, but they were hosed on that particular play by the officials.

I thought all change-of-possession calls were reviewable!

And the Jenkins call was absolutely ridiculous. When they call that, you know the fix is on.

There should have been a delay of game penalty, if not down right unsportsmanlike when McCarthy called for the review when he had none left.

Come to think of it, aren't they supposed to take his flag away?

The refs did screw the pooch on a few calls, but we didn't deserve to win, nor do I think we would have even if the correct calls had been made. However, we would've at least had a chance if it were not for the piss-poor calls.

That was a huge play, that call practically gave them the game. Made it a 3 possession game with only 8 minutes left. Whole bunch of ****.

from what i understand listening to babe laufenberg on the radio during the game that a fumble like that isnt reviewable unless it is in the endzone.

why not babe and brad sham said they didnt know, but they also pointed to this

why wasnt packers called for throwing a challenge flag with a penalty when they didnt have one;

all the holding the packers did on our cowboys defenders and half them they werent called

like austin had gone past 5 yards into the endzone and ref is standing right there no flag

what ticks me off about this, whatever the head officiatiing ref of the NFL will say, oh it was blown calls, but they wont do anything to the refs

then on top of that on several blown calls, on one particular play that should have been called for the cowboys and the refs blew the call, when they showed a ref on the line of scrimmage he was smiling because he knew he blew a call and got away with it and stuck it to the cowboys and their fans

I can't wait to hear the explanation on those calls from the NFL this week. Babe said on the radio it should have been a personal foul penalty for challenging a play when you have none.

If replay can't be used to ajudicate fumble recoveries than its severly lacking. Most recoveries aren't reviewable because it happens at the bottom of a pile of humanity. That one was in the open, it should be reviewable.

I swear throwing a flag when you can't challenge has been a penalty before. I'm trying to remember if Parcells got a delay of game or an unsportsmanlike condunct, i think it was the latter, when he challenged inside the 2 minute warning once. To me those two are identical infractions.

Not reviewable my ***, there was definitely some home cooked officiating going on.

I think the reversal of the fumble on the kick return was bogus. The runners left knee hits, then comes back up. Then the ball is hit out , that was the initial contact. Both the runner's knees were off the ground during the initial contact.

Yeah, McCarthy should have been penalized for his extra challenge.

That play happens cause Flo blocks down instead of staying outside to block the blitzer. if not for that missed block, we dont even have to worry about whether or not Felix recovered the fumble....which he did. Of course, you can't review that type of play, which I think is horse dookie....but what can you do.

IMO, all plays should be reviewable. I mean it is the coaches who are taking the risk with the challenges...so let them just challenge anything.

Can't make the Refs look too stupid now can we?

You didn't hear? He actually called Aikman and Buck DURING THE GAME to explain why the play was not reviewable.

The reason the Refs couldn't review it is accurate from the rules but is a sign of why the rules for replay are still broken.
