1. Chris Canty has really improved lately. People who clump him in with Spears now days makes me wonder what they are looking at. I still have pretty high hopes for him in future, including this weekend. Marcus Spears, I have not given up on, but I do not have faith in him at this point.

2. Whoever Stephen Bowen is, he was quite impressive for his first game as a NFL player. Created pressure and got good penetration most of the game. If Ratliff is ready next week, Bowen still needs to dress and Spears should sit.

3. Last but not least Jason Ferguson is flat out a beast. Playing the best football of anyone on the team. That includes Ware, Romo, Newman, Owens, Barber. Everyone. Ferguson has been great.

I saw Fergy blow up the center on the first series. I jumped out of my seat when I saw the center fly back 2 yards and roll.

I'm still in negative mode.

The Lions had given up 58 sacks coming into the game...and then lost two starters on the offensive line AND a third during the game.

I wasn't impressed by anyone on the defense except Ware.

The only thing I'm really basing solely off the last game is Bowen. Ferguson has been the best player on the team for the last couple of weeks. Canty has played gradually better since Parcells called him out.

Feguson has been solid. For sure. That shows up in the run game. It would be nice if he could get a more consistent push up the middle, which would help to move the QB into the path of Ware when he rushes outside the Tackle.

Canty. I'll reserve judgement.

And Bowen played college a few minutes from where I live. He was a beast there. Whether or not he's got what it take for the NFL, I guess we'll see.

excuse me if this has been discussed but why didn't they move Ware to the other side to go against the tackle that was playing his first NFL game???

When Parcells sees a potential advantage which requires no effort to take, he does the opposite.

This also applies to fixing disadvantages caused by matchups as well.

Some people call it being stubborn.

I didn't see much of Canty until our last game, and all the DLmen showed up more in the 4 man line, imo.

The detroit tackle came in the game in the second half due to injury and Ware had zero sacks after that point. What are you doing not fixing the defense and reading this board Zimmer?

So Ware who had 3 sacks in the game on the same guy, should have moved to the other side to face the new guy, because he's new...?
