We had all our timeouts. If we had preserved time on th clock, we would have driven down and had time to get a TD or get even closer for a 'chip shot'... why did Parcells not use the Timeouts?

I was wondering the same thing but everything worked out just like Bill had planned.......Romo moved the ball and set the team up.........couple people took the play off and held everyone down.......cannot really fault bill for that....he coached them into a position to win they folded like origami.....

35 yards is a chip shot. That FG could have been from 19 yards and it would have been blocked.

I didn't necessarily disagree with how he used the timeouts. What I did not like was the fact that we waited til the clock dropped from about 44 to about 33 seconds to take the first time out. We lost about 10 seconds on that and that could have meant another play or two.

It was a chip shot. We make it theres very little time for the Skins to do any thing. Why leave time on the clock for the skins? Last year they beat us in the final two minutes, remember?

the game was managed correctly. if Vandy makes the kick the game is over, no time left on the clock. ST lost the game

I thought I was the only one that noticed that, what a pathetic use of the clock by Parcells.

You use the time outs because they are in field position and can go up by 3. Had they made that field goal, we would've had barely enough time to get in field goal position to tie it. I thought the time out management was HORRIBLE!

Agreed...Not to mention that with those 30 seconds or more that where wasted the Cowboys could have went for a TD instead of just settling for a FG.

I hate settling for FG's in those positions because as you saw nothing is a sure thing.
