Does anyone know this play I'm describing? We run it fairly often, I remember notably twice from the Giants game, and one time last night where it almost got picked off. It's a fairly obvious play because it's the only one we run when Drew rolls out.

I really think we should stop running this play or at least have Keyshawn fake the 3 yard hitch and run up the sideline so Drew can float it over the CB's head as he bites on it. What do you think?

I agree. They have to add a wrinkle to that play or something. Lito Shepperd was all over that pass the 2nd time we ran it Mon. night. Whenever Drew rolls to the right, he throws a 7-8 yd out. It's fairly predictable now.

I know what play you're referring to. Terry Glenn was wide open on the play.

Was Glenn on the same side as Key? I don't think I've seen Bledsoe throw it to anyone but Key on that play, hopefully they take note of that and mix it up either this week, or save it for Denver.

I agree that Drew should pump fake then Key, or whomever, should turn up field. Everyone in the world knows whats coming when Drew rolls out.

It worked well the first two or three times they tried it this season, but it's so obvious if any team looks at film for 5 minutes.

They shouldn't try it more than once per game and only when the situation warrants it... (like if the guy covering Key is giving him too much space...)

I was thinking about creating a post about this play. What I find amazing is that a corner hasn't jumped this play to the house already. It's so disturbingly obvious but surprisingly it's been a reliable 5-10 yds. automatic each time. I suggest Drew does a semi roll and set up a screen to the other side.

Lito Sheppard did jump it....and dropped a sure int that would have been a touchdown.

Thats what I thought. And I think it will either be scrapped or they will work on the pump fake, double move option

I know yeah what I meant to say is that I'm surprised it hasn't been jumped before Lito did!

Philly scouted us well. This play was one example. The question I have is: didn't we scout ourselves as most teams do during the bye? As soon as Drew rolls right you know it's a sideline pass to Key. That play has to go NOW.

Parcells is crazy like a fox. None of this stuff is haphazard. Glenn appeared open. Bledsoe's tendency is to go to Key on that play....

I predict on a similar play Drew is going to set and hit a bomb to Glenn or Price on a deep post away or a fly crossing zones back against grain. Few have the arm to hit that play - Drew does.

I think that would be so sweet, watching a CB jump the play and all of a sudden you see Drew through it 40 yards down field to a wide open Glenn.

BS. If he would of caught it he would of been down cuz he had to DIVE to catch it. Someone would of easily touched him while he was down.

And that play has produced more POSITIVE plays then negative plays for us this year.

Actually he was running a corner route. Unless it was someone else running it. Whoever ran the corner route right over Key's route was open.

Get rid of that play and the wr reverse

You mean the reverse where Petitti completely missed his block?

It doesn't matter what play you run, if it doesn't get blocked it ain't gonna work.

Or just add dramatic changes to it. Have Bledsoe roll out, have crayton(when he comes back) run towards bledsoe, then take the ball and have glenn and price running down field. If nothing is open don't throw it! :)

I didn't see the roll out on the bad pass to Key. The play called was a quick drop and pass to Key on the outside shoulder. The play failed because Drew didn't get his body turned quick enough and release the pass. By the time he threw it, not only was Key just about out of bounds, but Shepard had way too much time to read the coverage.

I don't want to see any play that involves Drew "rolling" out. Lets keep him right between Rivera and Allen.
