1. Wentz

2. Ezekiel Elliot

3. Lynch

4. I do not believe that any player is a reach, if that team drafts him then they felt that the needed him. I don't feel that you should wait for a certain round to get the player that you want

what I'll agree with is you can't be dogmatic about how you run a draft.
But id yu evalut correctly and the guy is a third round guy you dont take him at the #1 spot
thats wasteful. But if his important to your scxoheme and his only 5 slots away get him now.

1. Ramsey (Jerry lives DBs)
2. Treadwell
3. Any of of DBs
4. Zeke

I don't think QB will even be an option for this team until later in the draft

Bite your tongue about the QB!! You must think RG III is going to be the next Dallas QB.

All I'm saying is statistically the odds of 2 of these guys being a franchise QB aren't in our favor and the best QB in the class is likely to be gone at #2. Can we agree on that?

No. Reason being we really dont know who the best QB in the class is. Right now the Wentz hype machine is in full force. I still think we arent really going to know after the combine or pro days either.

I can't believe that posters don't want a QB considering Romo's and poor QB play cost team more loses than anything else .

Or how many years have you hated Jerry Jones and disliked Jason Garrett?

Not me, I accepted facts in the projections. I also would think this is a very important year to truely establish Rod Marinelli's defens. Year three is the point it should jell. Linebacker is pretty important, as is getting a functional secondary.

We all want defensive lineman on the upsides.

Him or Manziel. I think it's inevitable really. I don't believe Jerry does things until he has to. Reactive, not proactive (I believe Risen brought that up). And we haven't hit rock bottom enough yet to warrant drafting a QB high.

I actually like a couple of the middle round guys, specifically Allen, Hogan, though obviously I'd prefer a bigger investment

What's it going to be then, eh?

Looking for your opinions of

1. Who you think the pick will be

Myles Jack

2. Who you want the pick to be.

Goff or Wentz

3.. Who you fear the pick will be but don't want

Jalen Ramsey

3. Who might be a reach but would make sense. Maybe they try to trade back but no takers so just take the player anyway and would end up being a solid player.
Wentz might qualify as a "reach", at least to some. I personally feel Jack is a little bit of a reach considering how it is a real projection to consider him capable of handling responsibilities at MLB. Ramsey is everyone's darling, but he is a player without a position as well, as far as I am concerned.

1. Who you think the pick will be:
So early for that but I'd guess Carson Wentz today. My 2nd best QB and one with a huge upside that Dallas got to know. We like getting to know guys.

2. Who you want the pick to be.
Jared Goff. Best prospect for me at QB. But I like Jack and others quite a lot as well.

3.. Who you fear the pick will be but don't want
I don't fear any of the realistic options. 4 wins teams can bet better a lot of places. Outside Tunsil any other player that's BPA works.

4. Who might be a reach but would make sense. Maybe they try to trade back but no takers so just take the player anyway and would end up being a solid player.
LaQuon Treadwell. Slides in nicely as TWill replacement on rookie deal. Replaces Dez in another 3 or 4 perhaps when money becomes issue.

I don't hate either . You shouldn't assume. I don't think either one of them are capable of taking this team to a Super Bowl. Please don't give Jerry credit for Jimmy's success. It is short-sighted to not invest in a QB if the scouts agree. I prefer building a team that will have long term success instead of going all in just to get Romo a Ring. By the way, hate is too strong of word to be used to describe football people. This is just a game.

No, you were hating on the team in defference to another poster. I understand one's preference...but one could just as easily be over looking a developing younger player, to hold onto a stereotype of failure, as well.

I think the last 20 years has been the pure definition of failure . That is not hate. It is reality. Our fanbase has lowered their expectations to all time lows. This is totally unacceptable for the Dallas Cowboy fans old. At one tiime, losing wasn't tolerated..-

That's a very, very old tune from yourself. That following yet another claim to leave as a fan if RGIII is brought onto the roster.

C'mon, a stubbed toe twenty years removed is current news material?

One is either a fan of the Cowboys or a thorn in the skin of other fans who never gave up the hope at least.

I stated my opinion. You seem to have a problem with that . RG3 offers nothing to the team and would be a waste of resources . I do not have any hope if Romomis injured and RG3 is the backup., We saw that same song and dance last season . If RG3 is best option as the backup QB, I have little interest in watching another wreck of a season .

Manziel is only 23. He is young enough to turn his career around . I had rather see the 4th pick used on Romo's replacement. If Manziel comes to Dallas, the entertainment factor would be great and would provide months of hilarious posts.

You keep talking like its QB or nothing. If our scouts say 1 is a franchise QB and he's available at 4 you take him. If not you take the best player possible, LB or not.

All I'm saying is statistically the odds of 2 of these guys being a franchise QB aren't in our favor and the best QB in the class is likely to be gone at #2. Can we agree on that?

I can agree with not reaching for QB with the 4th pick if scouts don't have him rated high enough to be worth it. I do think this year offers the best chance of drafting QB without having to trade up and use several high picks to get their QB. I would hate to see Dallas use several high picks like the Commanders used to get RG3.

and RG3 at 26 has plenty of time as well. Drew Brees was a bust at age 26, and the Chargers drafted Phillip Rivers. Romo hadn't even taken the field yet at 26. Kurt Warner was bagging groceries. I can go all day, but 26 is not too old to improve.

I had rather see the 4th pick used on Romo's replacement.

Me as well, which is why I do not want either

You would fine that dysfunction fun?
