It's been a loooooooooooong 315 long days!

But now 44-6 and 2008 as a whole is dead. It's history. It now means as much as all the other great failings and successes of this franchise.

All this team was striving for this season and all it could be had to take a back seat to 44-6 til last night.

If you don't agree, count how many times one of our players had to discuss 44-6 this week. "You're going to Philly this week, what do you expect? But what about 44-6, 44-6 44-6"
Give me a break.

We had to go back there and play. We had to go back there and WIN! It was a must. Only way to put last season's finale to bed.

But now its dead and so is the big scarey green monster that had sooo many of you ****ting in your pants.
"Oh my......How are we ever going to cover Jackson and all the other weapons of that all world offense?
How are we ever going to block thier blitz? Get open Receivers against that all world Secondary? Deal with that mean crowd?"

Close game that could've gone either way, but it didn't.

We won. Better QB won. Better defense won. Better team won. WE WON!

As big as this win was I have no doubt we have bigger wins coming.

For me it was dead when the game ended. Last season game mean nothing. Romo said about the same thing in post game.

Well for me it was very much alive. Last night was a game that meant something. Sure, you have to move past something like the 44-6 debacle, but those guys made our team look pathetic at the end of last year when the season was on the line.

Last night, we did the same to them. It wasn't a blowout, but make no mistake; We took the Eagles manhood last night. We embarassed them, our defense dominated them when it mattered, and we scored when we needed to. Now they're the ones with something to prove the next time we meet. :laugh2:

Romo is a pro. No doubt he put that game to bed and focused on the task at hand. That of course being the 2009 season, BUT..............

Don't kid yourself, it was still something festering in the back of his and all the other players invloved in that games mind.

Last nights win was nothing short of an exorcism.

Guys said this game had some extra motivation behind it but they also talked about this was not a revenge game more of a game to see where we were as a team this year. The Blowout last season cost us a trip to the playoffs and nothing not even this game can change that. Last night’s game is a confidence builder for this team to know they can go out on the road against a quality team and win.

Sorry I don't think it exorcises anything it was a big win over a divisional opponent. It is not like we have not beaten them before we won against them last season and lost to them but that was last season it really had nothing to do with this game other than the fact they don't like one another. I think fans are getting more out of it than the team. Last year game cost us a trip to the playoffs this win last night did not put us in the playoffs it did build momentum and confidence for the team.

I really don't want us to forget that game to be honest. I want them to remember what can happen if you don't give 100%. This Eagle team is VERY capable of doing that again if we are not focused. I'm glad we got revenge - but it would be foolish to forget that game and what they are capable of IMO/FWIW of course.
